With RD not going to the MXDN that makes Canard a shoo-in. My question now is (and I've brought it up before) who gets your second 450 pick? I have seen where a lot of you guys posted that you felt the pick should be first and second in points. The guys next in line are Stewart and Grant. Do you guys still send those two ahead of an Eli Tomac? I like all the riders listed above but Tomac is probably my favorite (with RV out that is). I think you would have to be a fool to not send Tomac regardless of some points deficit.

This is mostly for the American posters but would like to her the opinions from other nations fans.

I say this assuming everyone stays healthy and up to speed.

Excuse me if this has been post and please delete if so. I been away for 3-4 days and I don't have the time to go back more than the couple pages I went back.

I would put Tomac ahead of Canard right now.. I would say that he has earned his spot to go since he has been back!

Im a massive stewart fan and Id say we would be stupid if we were not to send Tomac.

Stewart needs to get more consistent.
Grant just doesnt have the speed imho.
Tomac is on fire and hes only a few races back.

As much as also love canard (and im sure does everyone else, how can you not like him?), i feel as if id want to send tomac over him, If it came to it.

This really is not even up for debate. Tomac. Now, where you have a debate is what happens if Canard or Tomac gets hurt between now and then!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Stewart is suspended from FIM events and the Motocross of nations is a FIM event. So it doesn't matter if you pick Stewart.

I would still pick Tomac over Stewart anyway, he is clearly on his game right now.

I actually agree with you here but you know I didn't really want to say that (shhh his mom posts here lol). That's my two 450 riders right there.

The team will be.

Tomac
Canard
JMart

It's the right team, and I like our chances.

As much as I'd like to see Grant having a shot at it, I agree 100%.

There was a thread posted on here recently made by a person who would know regarding the team selection. It sounds like the decisions have already been made.

Is this true? If so, I missed it. If we send Tomac, Jmart, and Dungey/Canard I love our chances. Dungey may be a bit faster than Canard but Canard can still take anywhere from 1st-5th. If Dungey does decide to go I just hope they don't leave Tomac out. If Tomac continues to ride like he did Sunday he can beat anyone in the world. That includes Cairoli and Herlings.

Dungey may be a bit faster than canard? Do you even watch the races? If dungey decides he will race it would be no question to pick him over anyone racing at the moment. The issue would be for the second 450 rider, tomac or canard. IMO, to early to make that call given tomac's and canards past, either could be injured at any moment.

I can't remember when, but I will watch the moto's again later and try to track down when and where I heard that. I want to say Weege and Langston had a brief convo about it on the pre-race show?

Uh yeah, I do watch races. What did I say that was so wrong? I know if Dungey wants to go, he's in. I clearly said that if Dungey does go I hope Tomac doesn't get the boot. Meaning Canard could get the call over Tomac, and its clear Tomac has been stronger since coming back.

How about stop being a dick and have big boy respectable conversations rather than blasting honest heart felt answers. It's people like you who can't distinguish the difference between someone posting a rational reply and someone phishing.

Canard has earned his spot on the team by riding his heart out and being higher in the points. I have nothing against Eli
heck I even like the guy but going 1-1 WITHOUT the pressure of being in a championship fight means nothing. Eli can take a few extra chances that Canard can't take. Lets give Eli a couple more races before we declare him the chosen one. Stewart went 1-1 a couple races back and look how he rode after that. I'm all for sending Eli but NOT ahead of Trey.

It was in Racerhead that Dungey has possibly changed his mind and has thrown his name in the hat for the MXDN

Stewart? Have you been living under a rock? DeCoster doesn't like Stewart this is common knowledge and with all of the BS that's going on he's definitely not getting picked now. The 450s are Canard and Tomac.

If Dungey wants to go send him along with Tomac AND Canard. Let them draw straws to decide who gets to ride the 250.

Points has nothing to do with it. Tomac missed almost half the season, of course Canard is going to be higher up in the championship than him. I also wouldn't say that Canard has the pressure that Dungey and KRoc have regarding the championship fight. He doesn't really have a chance to win it. Since coming back, Tomac has consistently been faster than Canard.

Comparing Stewart's situation to Tomac's (went 1-1 at High Point but now he's riding poorly) is totally apples to oranges.
