Sucks! I'd do anything to get our Speed and Fuel TV back! Watch a 15 minute rain delay of an Indy car race? Really? Was waiting to see what fat they were going to trim and low and behold it happened in the 250 moto. Went from 10 minutes left in the moto at the commercial break to 2 laps remaining. Pitiful coverage.

It was 15 minutes actually to 2 laps. Sad thing is the Tour de France has already been on twice today and that started on time at 8.

It's always a great idea to compare quality to 19 years ago.

I'm not one to typically complain but this was terrible. Not only would it have been with one hour delay but showing a rain delay on Indy race was a joke. Would rather have this live and on the web.

Both motos for both classes were live on the web. Moto2 was on NBC Extra and there were no delays at all. Sucks if you don't get that.

I watched all 4 motos live online at my computer desk via NBC Sports Live Extra. Just enter your cable login info and in a way, you're off to the races.

You really have to setup your recording to extend an hour to account for things like this happening.

Thanks Matt. I know I have that option. Usually my Saturdays are planned around the race but every once in a while on my Saturdays I've got the dreaded family obligation or something else. Today was one of those days unfortunately.

Yea, I noticed the short coverage too. 2 hours of "are we going to get this race in" Indy coverage that ran long..... For no reason. I am glad I got to see what I can but it was rediculus.

I wish they just dump these constant attempts to put the racing on obscure channels.

There has to be a better way. I don't know why streaming it for free or subscription over the net on their own channel (or YouTube) hasn't taken off yet.

The old cable/satellite tv business model is so antiquated.

I'd rather catch it delayed, and get all 4 motos, on one channel in one episode than the mess we got currently.

They could go the streaming route and assume the large production costs and hope they get enough subscribers to pay for it while also only bringing their product to people who are already into it. Or they can have 2nd motos on a channel most people that pay for tv have and is a major sports channel while exposing new people to the sport from having races on the main nbc channel as well all the while getting paid for the rights to do this. Seems like an easy choice to me.

The larger issue is people just don't want to pay for cable anymore then complain when they can't get what they want for free or just paying for the 1 or 2 channels they want.

The part I enjoy about NBCSN the most is when the 2nd 250 moto had 14 minutes left and they go to a commercial and then there was 2 laps left! I love that channel!!

I think many underestimate what it takes to get moto on TV. Keep in mind, there is no bidding war to get moto on a network like what happens with MLB, NBA, NFL, NASCAR etc. Core people currently behind MX have to front money to film, edit and produce the races. Thats a huge investment with the hope that a network (some network, any network) will pay for that "footage" so to speak. I'd bet the farm that production of the MX series is a losing venture and slowly climbing their way up out of the red. Breaking even or only losing a little bit on something like this is considered a victory with the "bigger picture" in mind of building MX and becomming more mainstream. Look up the history and struggles of the UFC, they almost went belly up despite billionaire investors. In a nutshell, go pay your own money to film and produce the races, then see IF you can sell it to a network for broadcast. What if the buyer only wants half of your product, now what? What if the buyer has a partner and they want to split things, half on this channel, half on that one? Its not always so simple or cut and dry, its a supply n demand type of thing and at the end of the day, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and it seems like those bitching the most are paying the least.

I don't care what network is airing the motos. It's disrespectful to the true fans to cut out that much of racing. On top of that the fair weather fans aren't going to stay tuned into the channel if they lose interest... Bottom line is it completely takes away from the excitement.

Now I'm going to go watch it commercial free... online. As I have been since the start of supercross.Grinning

Between Speed and Fuel, I saw four 30 minute + 2 lap motos in their entirety for 12 races.

I would almost prefer that NBCXX not show the event live but maybe a two-four hour delay so they can package it up with all the commercials and have us pick up racing after commercials where it dropped off prior to the commercials. These commercials just suck and to top it off we have to stare at a Kawi mule tooling around or blow-up Geico lizard at the track for 30 seconds at random times instead of racing.

I had the Indy rain delay on one screen, and the live feed of Millville on the other. Didn't miss a beat.

The rain delay was handled poorly, but it was comical to see the pace car couldn't even handle all the water on the track when it spun at turn 6.

Maybe you guys need to hook up the laptop to the TV via HDMI and quit the complaining. Sometimes you don't even have the commercials on the live feed.

The coverage could always be better but I've come to expect/accept advertisement over content in EVERYTHING. I come here to get the gaps filled in. It is what it is.

Speed hasn't shown moto in what? 4 or 5 years now?
