I bought some T-shirts from the bargain tent at Muddy Creek. I started to put one on and it was printed backwards! It looks like I have my shirt on backwards LOL. I refuse to pay full pop for those high priced event shirts.
I bought a shirt for my buddy last year from Budds Creek and it was printed on the wrong side. I never took it out of the bag until I got back home to NY. Only problem is I paid full price for it. Words of wisdom; always check your shirts before leaving the MotoTees trailer.

Not to mention, from what I understand, RedBud is much more difficult to get to/find lodgings etc. than any other track on the circuit.
Absolutely not true! 12 miles from South Bend Indiana, all the hotels, dining, shopping you could ever want. Close to interstate 80, a very easy (and scenic) drive.
As a matter of fact, I saw Josh grant in a restaurant in South Bend after he won Red Bud, a few years back.
I always thought Millville was great, but Red Bud is awesome.

Red Bud does just fine charging 60 bucks a head (10 bucks additional per day before Saturday) with 100+ in camping and $45 for a top row grandstand seat. It was well over $500 for just the wife and I to go. It was worth every penny!!

Unadilla is pretty rough on the lodging side of things.

Its simply the cost! This is a family sport. We all know you can't take your whole family to an NFL game anymore because of the cost and now try taking a family of 5 to a motocross race! Its not something all families can do as costs keep going up while the economy went down!

I just went to an Old Timers races today at Washougal and there was no charge to get in the gate! First time I have seen that for years! Not a pro race but it was cool they did not charge for people to come watch the action.

I plan on making it to three rounds this year. Already did Red Bud, Millville is next, and then Indiana. RB and IN are close for me. Millville is a long haul. But I am digging the action this year. Plus I got a broke wrist so I cannot ride right now.

I go alone or with buddies, so my cost is reasonable. No pit pass either.

I like to see it live if possible. On TV you only see what the producers thinks is important. If Roczen is way out front they don't show him. I have my favorite riders I like to watch no matter what place they are in.

The hot setup for Unadilla if you're coming from the South is to stay in Johnson City, NY. Hotels, Restaurants, Wegman's, etc. It's less than an hour to the track.

When I covered races for CN, I would use it as my base for both Unadilla and Broome-Tioga.

Most of the riders and teams stay way up in Utica, which makes no sense for us who live south of the track.

Back in the late 90's when I started going, I would hit 4-5 a year. High Point, Budds, Unadilla, Broome Tioga and Steel City. For me, it's the Saturday that kills it. I work in the car business and Saturdays are our busiest days so when I was a sales person, I didn't want to take off because I would lose sales ($$$). 2012 & 2013 I took a Saturday off to hit up High Point and Budds respectively. This year it was High Point again. If they were on Sundays, I would be at High Point, Budds & Unadilla every year and would probably take a weekend off to take a road trip out to Red Bud. Long hike from northeastern PA. I did it once in the late 90's and it was a blast! Also hit up Southwick once as well. I do disagree with the earlier poster about it being a scenic drive to Red Bud.....at least for me, driving across Ohio on I-80 sucks monkey balls.

Put them back on Sundays and I bet the attendance goes up!

I was happy I went to Lakewood this year. But as stated here it's not family friendly at 40$ a ticket. My girls love go but it's too much to take everyone. Would live to see a family 4-6 pack for 25 a ticket. That we would do.

Turnout was very good this year. Not as good as MXdN but good sized none the less.

Maybe everyone is starting to tire of Beasley or getting their bikes stolen?

Im on both sides of the fence with this one. Every year i go to hangtown spend 40 bucks on tickets, sneak in a bunch of beer, and usually buy an event t shirt for shits and gigs but as Im standing on one of the steep spectating hills drunk as hell always say to myself "you know what, next year im sitting my ass on my couch and watching this live on tv in my air conditioned living room" But lone behold every year as the event gets closer I buy those tickets knowing nothing beats a bunch of screaming drunk fans yelling for their favorite rider.

Here I thought you were making the trek for all three from 90210! Anyway, right on. I hope to make it to two Nationals this year. Going to Millville this weekend and hopefully Indiana as well (gotta a buddy in Indy an hour more east of the track...5 hours to track, 6 to Indy). I too go alone since it always seems my buddies I used to ride with always got something else going on or work or family.

It's just something I can't pass up if possible (I was not able to attend Millville from about '08 to '12). Attending a National in person just doesn't compare to TV coverage even though the TV productions has improved immensely. It really is something a moto fan should try to go to if they're within several hours driving distance and have the funds. I can't wait to see the new section at Millville! That hill was already quite daunting. Should be interesting.

It does seem the ticket prices have gone up quite a bit the last few years though. I want to say entrance was $25 the last time I had attended Millville in '07 and pit passes were $10. Last year was my first year back and it was $40 and pit passes were $15. Quite the hike in matter of a few short years. Not a huge deal as it's just me, myself and I. But I can see how that would add up quickly for a family.

I'd say it's mostly because of the cost. The weekend ran me about $550 for everything. Family of 3 but we camped from Thur-sun, rode open practice on friday and raced the amateur day on sunday. We all had a blast! Like guyb said, everyone hides in the shade of the trees as much as possible. It was hot as hell all day.

Sat in the hot sun for a 3 hr baseball game. Tickets 180 for 3. Parking 25. Beer and food was $$$$$$$. Baseball= boring, but something my son has not been to. Like me and my wife he checked off his bucket list. Did I mention it was a baseball game ??? Dude falls driving for a ball. Bring out the stretcher .... WTF , seen MX riders launch 20 feet into the air and get back on the bike to finish the race...

The crowd hides in the shade. That's part of it.
Yep, Budds is weird like that. When the sun is out and the heat is on high it will tend to look more thin than it really is.
