Villopoto MXGP 2015?

7/7/2014 11:48am
Just heard Weege JT$ and Matthes talking about this in the review show, I hope it happens, it would definitely increase my interest in the GPs

On a slightly different note, anyone know who does the drug testing for GPs? and do they test blood or just urine?

any mention of sand makes him curl up in fetal position, and the only way to bring him out is to chant "sand isn't a proper motocross surface... sand isn't a proper motocross surface"

It's nice to be the favorite every year , and to have every other country on the planet try and take you down.

That says something.

i think it was too rutty last year, too sandy the year before- that was the favoured excuse at the time

nagl and roczen are both riding well but germany have ullrich or schiffer as their 3rd rider? belgium have a good shot with desalle, van hoerbeen and strijbos- be interesting to see who rides the 250f! France will be strong with paulin, frossard, musquin, pourcel, febvre to choose from!

holland may be a force to be reckoned with soon with davy pootjes coming through iin the next year or so. If he lives up to his potential they could have herlings, coldenhoff and pootjes

Well I do not think the pictures of Europe were offensive, disturbing or not aligned to the vital rules, is it ?

I don't know, i'd like to see Roczen for MX1, Nagl for Open and Brian Hsu on the 250f or maybe even let him ride his 125 zook.
How coll would that be? And we'd have a pretty legit team.

Although i have to say that belgium, france and the dutch have much bigger pool to select from.

The best chance you would have at a win is with Roczen in the MX2. The way they score points now overall instead of per class makes the MX2 guy the most important guy on the team, that is why Germany won with Roczen beating a shit load of guys on a 250f. I don't see Germany winning with Roczen not a 250f, they have 450 guys but no 250 guy.

Germany has only 2 top riders at the moment. It doesn't matter if Roczen rides the 250 or not.

Back on the topic of RV potentially coming over to the GPs in 2015:

I wrote an article on this for MXVice.com, because I too heard it from a very good source. I know it floats around a lot, but it does seem to carry a lot more weight this time. Do I think it will happen? If I had to put money on it, I would say that it doesn't, simply because it's a common rumour and seems so far fetched. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen.

I totally agree that now the 250 rider is the most important. I think Roc will want a shot at AC so we will have to see how that goes.

France should go with Febvre,he's getting it together really well,Tixier or possibly Pourcel maybe but leave Musquin out of it,he's a pale shadow of his former self I'm afraid,as all his returning European returns at the MXdN have shown

100%.

RV could care less about legacies and proving he is the best everywhere. That is not how he is wired. Why would he want to travel to a bunch of backwater venues to make a point. Never happen. If he is done...he is DONE.

Yeah that's spot on actually,Ullrich would possibly go MX3 and maybe throw away his MX1/MX3 result with due respect,I've locked horns with you lately but 100% agree this time PB Smile

I'm thinking the same as you. But Villpoto is denying atm so I bet is true. He will go to race MXGP. I mean... after the "I'm racing outdoors" thing it's hard to believe in the guy. He has talk about racing in Europe on interviews a couple of years ago. So it's not that crazy.

Luck has probably decided more MXdN's in recent years than superior skill has, and I don't just mean the last two years.

Nearly ever winning team has to have luck go their way, although Belgium managed to win last year despite Desalles broken collarbone and DNF.
