Not sure the general public will be too concerned with the different sanctioning bodies in mx...
http://moto.mpora.com/news/james-stewart-will-race-weekend-muddy-creek…
Not mainstream exactly, but shows how not everyone is that excited by the idea of him riding this weekend whilst suspended..
"James Stewart will once again saddle up for this weekends Muddy Creek national even though the Yoshimura Suzuki rider has been provisionally suspended by the world governing body, the FIM.
The whole issue around Stewart and his suspension from FIM sanctioned events and the non-FIM affiliated Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is just a huge mine field of if, when and how.
Surely any rider who has failed a drugs test should be suspended from all events world wide, no matter what championship it is , does this make a mockery of the rules that are set in place?
The whole episode feels like its being swept under the carpet without actually getting to the bottom of what the outcome will be – the story will continue.
Was it a medical reason? Was it to improve performance? Was it a mistake?
Lets hope the whole sorry saga gets sorted soon, for the sake of the sport."
Why do YOU give a shit about what I post. Especially in this case where all I did was post what the rules state and my opinion on interpretation. Although as written the rules don't appear to need much interpretation as they seem fairly "cut and dried".

Sorry but JS should NOT be racing this weekend.
vs.
Sorry but I think JS should NOT be racing this weekend.
That's the problem with this place and 90% of the BS people come up with - people state their opinions as fact (whether meaning to or not), and others get all twisted up about it and have to come back with more opinion stated as fact.
"The crowd goes wild, awesome pass on lap 11 by Stewart the Yoshimura Suzuki rider, provisionally banned by the FIM for a positive amphetamine result but still allowed to race. But hey, there are still some technicalities between the FIM, USADA, WADA, MX Sports etc. so we're pretty sure he has as a legal case to compete. Dungey and Roczen fading badly now, looking mentally tired but battling hard for second".
What a mess.
Go read the article on RacerX as to why he can race.
They obviously read the sections you skipped.
So, if it was an XGames race (hypothetical based on them having race events in the past), would the FIM have any authority over that? Obviously they have the ability to pull a license, but to instruct a rider not to race? It's the same issue here.
And there's probably some lurking unsaid things. It seems like it's hard here for people to not be all in on one side or the other on every facet of an issue, but I'd think folks at least be on board with the notion that there needs to be confidence in the process by which anyone cuts off another's means of earning a living. There are plenty of red flags known, and a few as yet generally unknown, to question the process here. Remember, the results management ~ penalty determination ~ for the respective series is done by the FIM, not WADA, and MXSports, not USADA. There doesn't appear to be any result dispute, but the Code's guidelines to agencies who do their own results management emphasizes the need to assure the integrity of the process (from innocent error or malice) before barring an athlete from competition. Aside from the irregularity that others outside the need-to-know group were told of this before Stewart was, and the restriction on racing without a hearing, it doesn't look like there was any effort to bring MXSports into the loop to coordinate how to deal with the situation or even give notice that the FIM was preparing to levy a penalty that it expected MXSports to enforce immediately (I confess, I am inferring that an attempt to coordinate didn't happen, but I am pretty confident from the reactions and timing and the end game we're at now that it did not). That sort of coordination would be especially necessary if the FIM rushed to get a provisional suspension into place before it could hold the required hearing with an eye on specifically barring Stew from the next National. And not the least of the reasons for that coordination is that if Stew was barred, it's conceivable he could seek an injunction allowing him to ride (strong irreparable injury position for Stew), and the tip of that spear hits MXSports, not the FIM.
Under the circumstances, it's pretty reasonable for the MXSports folks to step back and let things get sorted; it's unfortunate there wasn't more opportunity to get it sorted before it came to this.
This shit is stupid

Try again...............................
I think it would be great for the sport if he raced tis weekend actually..... but only if is in compliance with the rules. Not just MX pro racing rules but ALL the rules he has agreed to abide by.

Got to page 50.... Read consequences of anti-doping rule violations. Then scroll up and read the definition of Competition.
If I missed something let me know.............
Your next question is"Well why would James take himself out of a race?"
For the same reason you don't go rob a bunch of banks and retire today........................... Consequences.
GO JS7!!!
It's about the sport(any sport) and following the rules.
I am a frm believer that anyone who doesn't follow the rules is cheating(not just themselves but they are cheating the sport) as defined by everyone I know and also Miriam-webster.
So he is not 'barred'.
I would not be asking that next question as it would seem obvious as to why he would take himself out - the future repercussions of doing so (racing this weekend) could have a very severe impact on his career going forward. If it turns out to be the wrong choice, it is he who will be penalized. Seems to be all on him (this weekend) - which is why I sure as heck won't be criticizing the decision one way or the other. The one facing consequences will be the one making the decision. I could also still see him deciding to not race this weekend - I suspect this will truly be a game time decision and that this still may not be his final asnwer.
Read page 4.
