What an amazing accomplishment. I remember some time back a thread about him training for this was on vital. Sounds like they were very close to setting a new record for the event. Their average
"The team, organized by 49-year-old Dymond, averaged 22.93 mph in a race that crossed 12 states and climbed a total of 170,000 feet in elevation."

He was my hero growing up. Seeing him transition from being probably the best freestyle BMX rider of all time into a serious triathlete is very inspiring.

how old are you?
I'm not being harsh, but are you aware of who Mickey Diamond is?
He's a multi-time national champ. I think there is precedent for this to be in moto. The "where they are now" concept is vital, if I may use a pun.
Amazing what Mickey and his team mates accomplished, this is the highest caliber of ultra cyclists on the planet. They showed up and kicked their ass. It's just more proof that the greatest athletes in the world are motocrossers.
