When RC's fuel was found with trace amounts of lead in it a few years back, some people argued that whether or not Ricky gained an advantage was irrelevant - his fuel didn't comply with the letter of the FIM law and they argued RC should have lost the 25 points for that race. Others argued that the trace amounts of lead didn't affect the performance of his bike and therefore the rule shouldn't result in any penalty to RC.
In the end, Ricky threatened to drop out of the series and a fine was issued instead of a DQ.
If JS wants to settle this up real quick, all he needs to do is threaten to leave this series....

Lenny. It's not about finding him guilty. It's not a trial. I could give a fuck who it is. Like I said, you're opinion on this was made up the second it was revealed it was Stewart. If it was RV you'd be calling for his 4 titles to be revoked. If it was anyone else I bet you'd be ignoring these threads all together and posting unfinished thread titles about shit no one cares for.

What this is about it the fact that this article now has world exposure and MX has to send the right message to the public, to it's competitors, to everyone that illegal drugs of any sort are not accepted.

They have to work within the framework of rules laid out. Not what some journo claims to know, what insiders think, not what a team manager wants to happen. It is far far bigger than one rider and weather you think he's a cheater or guilty or any such shyte.

There are only so few legends in this little sport and 3 today are still currently racing and competitive, to lose any of them in this way is huge when you look at the large scale of things.

We are all here to grow our little sport not blast and blast those that have taken this sport to another level as James single handedly has.

We need to stay together at a time like this and grow this community

Some people might think the rules are a bit ridiculous, and that is fine, but James didn't get the TUE and that is the rules.
It doesn't matter who broke them, they should be treated the same, providing they are a first time offender.
Whether it is James, RV, Chad or a privateer they should get a warning and/or a fine for a first time offense.
Not really that big of a deal.

Another factor that would not have played well for the AMA with fuelgate is how it was stored. The AMA impounded all the fuel cans, yet didn't have them properly guarded. Even a lousy lawyer could show how someone could have spiked RC's gas can with a bit of lead, opening them up to a huge counter-suit from Ricky.

If you think any more should come of this, you must have some other agenda as it pertains to James Stewart. This is reasonable.

I can only imagine when entering for these AMA/FIM events they are signing to there rules as clearly stated by the regs. Now if James wasn't caught cheating I doubt we would ever know he had ADHD or whatever it is his camp is claiming.
Another thing we all must remember is smarter people than us on here and with the scientific data to prove it can prove it's a performance enhancing drug.
Bottom line is he signed saying he was clear of any performance enhancing drug. and he and everyone in his corner would know this as well.

And for the record, sorry and you're welcome to everyone who is just realizing you may have ADD/ADHD.

As I said in the column, I didn't even believe it existed prior to being diagnosed. But medication significantly improved my life in just about every way, and I was paying almost $300 per month for it for years before Obamacare...

Steve, you've not only helped at least 10 people to become self aware of their ADHD condition, you have also exposed more than a few here for their "Stewart Envy" Nicely done man! Woohoo
Thanks! I'm proud of it.

Like I said in the story, I didn't think ADD/ADHD was a real thing until my diagnosis.

It would be nice if it really helped others find the improvement in their lives that I've found in mine.

And I'm betting James Stewart has found in his.

The big problem I see with a lot of posts defending James is that they are assuming too much. We can't assume James is legitimately taking adderall because he has a prescription. If you don't pay attention to other sports, there's been plenty of cases of doctors prescribing stuff that was for the benefit of the athletes performance rather than just treating a true medical problem. Athletes have go to doctors for stuff they want. Am I saying this is the case with James? Absolutely not. But don't blame people for being rightly skeptical. Blame the athletes out there that exploit those loopholes. That's why WADA has to be so tight with the TUEs and such. It's WIDELY accepted by Dr.'s that adderall would hep someone's focus that doesn't need it to treat ADHD(hence it being banned by any legitimate anti doping code). It's unfortunate if he gets suspended for an honest mistake but rules are rules and they really couldn't be any clearer. My true hope is that WADA does a legit job with the investigation if there's an appeal and that James gets nothing more or less than he deserves with the penalty and it's not influenced by his status in the sport one way or the other. In the end, if he can show a legitimate history of using adderall to treat ADHD I think he'll end up with a slap on the wrist and most people will forget about it.

Whether James is on the line next week or not and Anaheim 1 or not, I'll still be watching. I watch because i love racing and I would rather have black and white rules for testing and them strictly enforced then be more worried about having all the stars on the line for the races.

Nobody is arguing that people really do have ADHD or that it's a legit condition. The real issue is whether James has it currently and took the medication in a genuine way. To say he does and did or doesn't a didn't is bold IMO. Let it play out. If he's legit they aren't going to ban him 2 years.

It actually makes you look like an idiot when you are incapable of speaking without insulting someone for having an opinion. Sorry buddy, it gets old.
