This is me nabbin the holeshot, super nervous on the gate but I just opened the bike up n dump the clutch, started pulling away, 2nd place was a good 4 seconds behind me. Won about $50k on this MotoSport holeshot. Didn't sweep both motos but got 4th overall though

Mammoth Motocross 2007? - Stole this one from #101 Kenny S. We used to take turns and swap holeys at Mammoth
I yanked this holey from GATE FORTY at Mammoth (unheard of). Gate 39 was empty, so I angled my bike pulled it back as far as I could looked at the guy in gate 38 and just shrugged my shoulders....kinda letting him know to look out! I got lucky timing the gate drop with a do or die start and got to the sweet spot just in time to control the whole shebang. I remember freighting up that hill just laughing out loud....glad my buddy was on the line to witness it!! See below for a start from Gate 1
I almost grabbed one from Gate 1, had to shut off at the top and came out in 5th - which was about as good as you can expect from where I started

If your going to leave the door open, I'm taking it! Feet up power slide wheelie in front of 39 450's. I can still remember how totally bitchen those short seconds felt pulling this one off.

Ist one is Dirt Country in 1983. 2nd one is Honda Hills in 1984 with my 1983 motor in the bike. The 84 motor was a pile of sh*t.
Pretty bad pic but the first one is me on my 86 125 at dirt country, next one I'm in 2nd on the YZ (#31) at Kenworthys.

My 14 yo daughter holeshotting the C class guys.
I've always told her, with the C class, get the holeshot and you'll stay out of troubles
she did 4 holeshot in 4 that day
