Yeah yeah yeah..at least you can ride dirtbikes ok for a while......you guys said the same thing to Japan in 1990 and boasted to the world you were masters of the financial universe. Drink it up bub...soon the GP's will be swamped with out of work US riders. JLaw would be smart to get to the front of the line. There's more brands of beer over there anyway.

Just wondering, but why are you only looking at the past 28 events? Over all of them, Team GB is only 2 wins behind...though that gap is more than likely to get bigger until Stewart retires, and Anstie turns pro!

rim lock your from alska man it looks as though the bullshit that spills from americans has not reached you yet and im glad

america at the moment are number 1 back in the 60s it was the europeans and the 40's/50's england

hopefully in a few years australia but with only 20 million people total its amazing we even have world class riders

for me after a great saturday, sunday was more than a let down but hey there is always next year in loverly italy with some fine wine and ladies and sunshine all of which england lacks i think it will be a italy 1 usa 2 australia 3 or if dreams do come true australia 1 italy 2 belgium 3

all in all i am thankfull i saw team usa ride and the rest of the world it was well worth the 30 hour flight

see you all next year

Ok, we got that out of the way - now if you are going to talk about world motocross domination, I don't think you can really pick a date to start at that is fitting for your argument.

My native land, has no shot to claim this title, so I feel like I can be pretty objective.

World Motocross Domination - lets just say teams nationally competing against each other.. because it is always an endless debate otherwise.

So in national team competition you have to include MXdN (yes it's des) from 1976 until present. And the now defunct Trophee des Nations which started in 1961 and ended in 1984.

So the tally for those two series which pitted teams from countries against each other winds up like this:

Country MXdN TRdN Total

Belgium 14 11 25
United States 20 4 24
United Kingdom 18 2 20
Sweden 8 5 13
USSR 3 1 4
Czech Republic 2 2
Italy 2 2
France 1 1

So - for the time being Belgium for another few years get to be the Greatest Motocross Country in the World.

Ding,ding,ding! I never even heard of MX till 1970 and started racing in 72. When did the sport even reach our shores? 1967 or 1968?Obviously we wouldn't have a pro team for some time.It took us a few years, but as you can see,we figured out the sport and added to it.Wink
