Haha. I don't know what that is. I thought it was funny looking though. All the good Ricky's, Julian's, and Bubbles were taken.

Actually the bike skins on MXSim are the best I've seen, I love the game but hit a wall as far as getting better, I can't ride the SX tracks at all and can only have fun on the original tracks. I got tired of crashing so i quit playing. I still think it's an awesome game I just suck at it.

Just watched the "Game Play" I was a loooong time lover of Reflex, After playing the MXGP game for a while now the MXvsATV looks absolutely terrible.... If you can get the MXGP over there i would recommend that over this new MXvsATV for sure

I might need to get myself a PS3 just so I can play MXGP. These MVA games have gone downhill since Reflex, and even Reflex needed a lot of work. I swear, all they had to do was fix a few glitches on reflex, make some new tracks, add new gear and bikes and that would have been all I needed.

MXGP is a very good game and as long as they don't throw out all they know and start new like Mx vs Atv always does, Mxgp will only get better and better.

Mx vs Atv the series has never offered much for consistency in the bike physics or tracks, they seem to start new every game in their last few offerings. Should have just cleaned up Reflex IMO and stuck with that platform.

I don't know how you guys stand those poor resolution textures in mx sim. I understand the method of using google earth to get the ground textures for the terrain, but they look horrible close up. The people that jump in here and try to say that mx sim is so great looking obviously don't understand the criteria by which graphics are rated. The visuals could be accomplished with a directx 8 engine, yet the game performance is still horrible. Low quality textures, weak particles, effects, models and scenery. Pretty much every aspect of the Mxsim rendering is out of date.

I understand that it does have cool features like dedicated servers, demo playback, and customizable bikes, but that doesn't mean the game looks good, it actually looks quite bad.

Not to mention how the bikes sound.

So you have a game that handles very close to an actual bike, which is really nice but it looks like you are playing minecraft.

I dont get it either man, the MXS guys are a group all to their own.

This game is very good, they have some big flaws but for the most part its on point.

The scrub feature is bad and so is the bike movement. They did a great job on the rider being able to move around on the bike and it works well but the bike movement and how it reacts to your controlling it sucks.

I expect nothing but improvement from this game when they decide to release the next one.

Yeah, MXGP is great - if you like having no real control over the bike.

Looks great, rides like shit. It's like riding a brick.

Plus their online play is broken, so it might as well be in the trash.

X2

The people raving about the MXGP game must be desperate for a MX game to play. There are some brilliant aspects of it but mostly it's just a completely horrific game.

Waiting for mxgp to come out stateside. Mx vs atv supercross isnt looking so hot. Dissapointed, it looks like they took a step backwards. I personally thought Alive played great and was hoping they tweaked that game. What's with the shotty looking graphics? Hoping for the best.

looking at MXGP's gameplay videos i wouldn't play it either. but as others have said, once they played it they liked it, so i'll reserve judgement until i play it.

just think it's funny so many people are discounting it before ever playing it. to each his own.

While I would normally agree - what redeeming qualities do you see in that video?

Is it the pogo stick that's on the bottom of that bike?
Maybe the sick whips?
Perhaps the fidelity to real life riding form?
Maybe it's the ability to ride as a giant on a 85cc bike?

It's a bit ridiculous. One online demo months before release on a game they've admitted is just a quick release based on the previous games, and people are acting like a bunch of pansies about it.

No doubt it doesn't look perfect -- but we haven't seen much of the game yet and they've mentioned a lot is still a work in progress so..

i guess that i can tell it's someone that clearly doesn't know how to play the game.

if i give my nephew Reflex to play, the game looks retarded. if i play it, it looks and feels awesome.

all i'm saying is some of you guys need to just chill and wait till you have a chance to play the game before passing judgement.

i'll agree, the gameplay doesn't do it much justice. but the track looks sweet and with how shitty the player is, i think it could be awesome to play.

Seriously, this thing looks BOSS! If it plays half as good as it looks it's a winner.

I don't understand why they can't get this shit right. Make the bike physics feel like Unleashed which is the closest that anyone has gotten to being accurate and throw in the looks of MXGP.

Is it really that out of reach?

This exactly. I love how people put so much stock into video that clearly shows it's someone at the controller who has no idea how to play the game correctly.

I for one am STOKED about the game and can't wait to get it. More importantly, I'm glad that Nordic has taken the correct steps of bringing back the original developers and giving them more freedom to make the game right rather than what dumbass THQ did.

Gameplay may be better, but the biggest qualm I have is that the bike and rider look absolutely retarded. Seems like it should be a simple fix. They could have gone with the bike/rider from reflex, since that looked much better, even though the rider looked a little small on the bike. But they take the THE SAME EXACT bike and rider look from alive, which is fugly as all hell. I'm also not a fan of of how the tracks look like they were taken from MX Unleashed. It just seems like a big step backwards.

I watched a review by Vurb Moto and the guy on the vid kept calling the track a "course" I was thinking yup this game is doomed.
