I did a ton of research for weeks on a new wheel set for my CRF450. Didn't know what to get or what was the best for the money. I didn't want to order some Chinese CRAP.

Some fellow Vital fellows suggested a couple of different rims and shops. Most said give Fasterusa a call so I did.

I cant say Thank You enough to Vince at Fasterusa! He knows his stuff and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and he was very helpful and gave me a great deal on a set of Excel Takasagos wrapped with mx32s.
I will post some pics after I get them on my bike, I cant wait hope to have them by next wednesday!

I recommend if you are looking for some wheels give them a call!

Damn Mick.....those are basically exactly like he ones I wanted to order for my Kawi 450! You'll love em' man.....those things are classy and tough as hell! Did you get the bulldog spokes , or a set of HD spokes put in there?

When it's time to get me a set I'll be going through fasterusa as well. Heard nothing but good things about them dudes!

Thanks Jeff! I got the bulldog spokes. I figured if I'm going to spend the money get the ones I want and not wast 600 on some Chinese ones.

Ya those dudes there are super cool. I will always use them for wheels!

Im so stoked to get them cant wait to slap those bad boys on!

Not spam. Mick had another thread going that went on for a few days asking for advice on here about where to get his wheels. The Fasterusa was only one of the places mentioned on where he should go. Seems like he made a great choice.

Mick....you'll love em! A nice set of wheels can totally change the look of a bike! Should look awesome on that 08' Honda!

Thanks Jeff! They have awesome customer service.Didnt try to up sell me I told him I what I was looking for and I got the Fasterusa hubs not the Talons and Excel Takasagos instead of the A60 because he said they fade quicker and the bulldog HD spokes.They build your rims in house and give you a year warranty on there hubs. They ship them out the next day!

And like Jeff said they are bad ass Wheels!

Not jeff, but I have had both stx's and takasagos and imo they are pretty equal, excels have more of a shiny finish, seems like the only difference. I call BS on the A60 fading quicker, buddy of mine has had a set since 2010, and they still look like new. Nice looking wheelset, I have basically the same thing, except they are RADmfg hubs, with the stx rims, same colors though.

They didn't fade at all? He just said that he has seen some fade Unless I would get the A60s. You have any pictures because I can still change my order. Do you think its worth it to go with the A60s or stay with the Excel Takasagos or go with the DID STX wheels?!?!

No problem with mine fading. I have head of them dulling if you use an aggressive cleaner like Simple Green on them. Simple Green straight up is pretty nasty stuff. Even when it's diluted it can still be nasty. I use Mr. Clean on my wheels and they look as good today as the day I got them.

So be cautious about anyone who complains of wheel fading. I'd ask them what cleaners they're using before taking any stock in their experience,

Ya thats what I heard thats kinda what I was talking about! Thanks Shane so I think the Excel Takasagos or go with the DID STX are the way to go so I don't have to worry!

Or the A60s worth it!

I bought a set of wheels from them a few months ago too. Excel Takasago with the Faster USA hubs. I have about 20 hours on them and not so much as a loose spoke.

No I don't have any pics of his A60's. But they didn't fade, and really that is the first I have heard of it. I am sure excel uses the same anodizing process for both the A60's and the takasagos. I personally didn't think the A60's were worth the extra money though. Any of the three DID, takasago, or A60's you will be good to go, no need to worry. lol

I've had bad experiences with them burning through bearings, hopefully they fixed that issue. Here's to hoping you never have an issue and they perform as good as they look!!!

Are there single or double bearings on the sprocket side? Usually if there is only a single bearing you burn through on the bigger bikes.

They also have to be installed right and grase up!
