Our 2014 Big Air Kid's Fair at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital is in the books and I want to say that all of us who participate in this wonderful event feel that we take away so much more than we could ever give. It's an honor and a privilege to visit with the young patients and our friends at the hospital make us feel like part of the family with their warm welcome each year.
My deepest thanks to the following companies for their generous donations of moto swag that was distributed to the kids, their families and the amazing nurses, doctors and hospital staff who dedicate their lives to caring for others. These companies deserve the business and support of all of us in the moto community!

Big props and much love to three Champions: Blake Baggett, Wil Hahn and Justin Bogle for taking some time from their training to spend a day with the kids.
The same goes for my good friends Ricky James and Sara Price for being there once again and representing our sport so well. Matt Motonaga helped Ed Wilson's Fire and Police MX raise money for toys by collecting jerseys from the racers during the Supercross season.
Washed up dirt biker and former Nitro Circus star, Andy Bell, is not only a good friend, but a funny mofo with a mic in his hand...or anything else. His new company, Sweatpants Media, is killing it with clients like Toyota and others.
Our thanks for a job well done to Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Kenny Bell and Scotty Stephens, aka FitzArmy. They put on a great show with short notice for the kids.

I want to thank Nancy Long for her help with the event and in general for putting up with my crazy (and sometimes testy) ass.
Last and definitely not least, thank you to my daughter, Gabriella Bauer, for flying all the way down from Boston to help out her dad and visit the kids, then flying back home on the red eye last night.
I appreciate all who came out yesterday to support the event, including friends and family, and I apologize for anyone I left out...smack me when you see me.

One thing I've learned, is that getting a group of racers to commit to a date in advance is very, very difficult...the odds against everyone showing up rise exponentially as the date draws nearer! It's the nature of the sport and you cannot fault them for attending to their livelihood first and foremost, right? Like I told Kyle, get that bike dialed in, son, and make us proud!
That's a hell of a lot of work but don't you love the reward of making those kid's day.
