First off I will say it was good to see the #33 back up front..in rather dominating fashion at that....Took a liking for JG when he jumped on the Honda, but its been hard to root for a guy who is barely out there long enough to root for him, so good ride by JG33...another dog in the long fight to the finish I hope...

Ok, so watching the "how was your weekend" JG made a comment about the moto 2 start along the lines of someone cutting over 4 or 5 gates to cut over on him and that it was a bummer that people were riding like that already.......then went on to say he was involved in a tangle with "his brother"..... so I am guessing he was talking about James Stewart cutting over on him???... Hopefully he see's the replay of the start and will see James was actually going straight wheh he was slammed into forcing him over a few gates into Josh rather than James trying to ride dirty, or whatever JG was implying.... If he crashed with Mookie, well not sure what happened there.... Hopefully we dont have a new JG/Alessi brothers saga with the Stewarts as I think he'll come out on the bottom of that too.......

He seemed quite bitter and his tone was enough to show he wasnt happy with Stew (allegedly).....but I am sure since then he may have seen the start and learned it wasnt intentional.....

I'll tell anyone next to me on a start they better watch their ass because as soon as I get a wheel on them I'm coming over

as soon as I heard him say that on Monday (when it was relevant) I knew a fanboy would get all butthurt about it
here's where they started

here's where they ended up

while I don't agree with doing it and can see why Grant was frustrated it's definitely an effective way of improving your start.. that said maybe Barcia and Stewart got together a little that forced Stewart over or something like that

Watching this, Barcia and Stewy tangle, it sends Stewy to the right quite violently and then he hits Grant.

Not deliberate IMO.

Stew and Canard hit, barcia comes from the outside if you watch the entire start.

Ya just heard a Grant on DMXS and he said the same and seemed fine with it...

My eyes obviously aren't as good as they used to be!

He should have thanked his teammate for that huge lead at the start.
He reminds me of Antsie talking all big after Qatar. He will be put in his place soon enough.

Indeed... I didnt get to see the first moto in its entirety until yesterday...and when I watched moto 2 on NBC I had some pretty blurry vision hahhahaaa....So I watched both motos on youtube which is when I saw the moto 2 start issue after I had listened to the TW piece..... Moto 1 for sure Josh was riding good, but after seeing it I think the #38 did have a big role in that lead as well...but thats all part of racing....he was making lots of mistakes when the heat was on .... so Hangtown we will see how things go...

Don't think you guys were watching him ride. Sure Phil was there for a bit but Grant was riding really well, his lines were way better than the rest...

Grant sounds a little whiney-baby to me over this. So, he goes out in the first Outdoor National, holies the first moto and disappears. Awesome performance for him...but you have to agree that all the planets lined up perfectly for him to do that, right?Just saying. At the start of the second moto, James Stewart shows him how the big boys ride...and comes over on him. No big deal...everybody has come over on everybody at one time or another. This is Pro Racing, and big money is on the line. Josh better suck up his ego-rant and take it in stride or he'll have everybody and his mother running it in on him before long.

That said. Josh rode great, and I hope he can use that to get onto a great team in 2015.

Someone can hold up people for a bit, but you still have to be fast as f*ck to stay out front for the whole moto, and that's what he did

Kenny was on him for half the Moto. If Josh was making all kinds of mistakes...what was Kenny doing?

If Josh was smart he would just ride like he did at GH and say nothing every week. People would think he is some new super focused terminator.

Exactly! I think it's fine to say you are disappointed, heck since when is showing emotion a bad thing.

But, come on, this is pro racing. Everyone cuts over. I remember Emig saying something about that. I think it was at Steel City where he told MC that if he got the jump on him off the start, he was gonna cut over on him.
