Watching the race yesterday Zach fell going up one of the hills and was stuck in a pretty tight spot. One of the flaggers seemed to be helping him get his bike repositioned. Was wondering if it's the same deal as Barcia at the MXDN at Lommel. Not trying to start anything just wondering. Anyone have any insight?

It's sad that' with all the douche baggerey around here normal people have to phrase things like "not trying to start anything". Sorry bro, I don't know what happened.

might suck for him if the flagger doesnt know the rules. felt so bad looking at guys stuck on the 2nd half of yami hill just sit there staring up at their bikes above their heads.

I thought receiving 'outside assistance' was only a GP/FIM thing?

Yeah different rules. Plus I think flaggers in the FIM can help. Random people on the side of the track can't.

It could be, I'm not sure on the technicalities so I was seeing if anyone else noticed or thought about it.

There's latitude for the race director to make that call. I'm sure a rider wouldn't get DQed for that.

The year Reed went sky born they commented that no one could help him so I assume the same would be true. But given this circumstance I would hope the governing body would not DQ him.
