Yeah, he chain smokes before every moto to lose some weight. A bit controversial but effective (as seen in Spain).

How does chain smoking right before a race make him lose weight. You dont lose weight that fast.

Joel Robert said he smoked before races to calm his nerves. Harry Everts smoked sometimes to, I think it was Hannah who wanted to beat him at the USGP just because he didn't want some guy who smoked (Everts) to beat him.

I am watching and I rewound it a few times to confirm what he was doing. He is most certainly chiefing a cig. Almost looked like a clove cigarette. Just came here to start this thread but I guess I wasn't the only one to notice.

Random hockey fact. Sergei Zubov on the Dallas stars had it in his contract that he could smoke in the locker room during intermission. I believe he is the only player in the NHL with that clause. Maybe the only player in any sport.

More interesting than desalle in Netherlands was ciarolli riding with a fucked front wheel. That takes balls to ride the whole 30 minute Moto with a busted front wheel. It was bizarre to see that wheel like it was. Holy crap. I would have opted to pit, change then re-chase down the leader. He has the speed for it.

Ha, reminds me of my first race in the vet b class at Territorial. I pull up to the line and there's this long haired biker looking dude standing beside his YZ 250 sucking on a smoke sizing up the competition. He see's me on a stock looking CR 500 and leers trying to put the fear of god in me... It worked until I got the holeshot.
