I'm probably looking too much into it but RV is still using some vague language when talking about the Nationals. Matthes was asking and he kind of dipped and dodged before he said "yes I am racing Glen Helen". Then racerx had an interview and it was asked of he was racing the nationals and he said "I am riding Nationals. Have you not seen anything up until this point saying otherwise?" To me it kind of sounds like possibly showing up at a couple? Maybe just GH? I dunno, but he hasn't really said a definitive "yes I will be racing the outdoors this year."

All I know is that if RV is not contesting the whole series, we could be in for a real barn burner.

Whats the difference between "I am riding the Nationals" and "yes I will be racing the outdoors"?

I think what you are seeing is RV has a knee issue that has bothered him to varying degrees during the season. Will he make it the whole season? I dn't think anyone, including him can answer that one. I'm hoping he is in a position to be 100% for one more Supercross season. He doesn't care about records, but five straight would be amazing.

He didn't say I am riding the nationals he said I am riding nationals. Which implies some.

Great interview, I tell you what , that was pretty personal by RV standards if you read what he's sayin. It's all right there and should answer everyone who wonders why RV is so quiet and seems distant in interviews. He actually has a good sense of humor, just dry like myself. Some people interpret that as being aholish, but I get it...

Just that they would be surprised if he raced. JT$ said 50/50 at best and Matthes was 70/30 doesn't race/race.. They went into the whole sources thing and how they aren't just taking hearsay and running with it. The show cut out when they were getting into why he would say he's gonna race if he's really not.

Also Matthes got a text message during the show saying it will be announced he's not racing on Thursday at the press conference.

So does this mean MA800 is going to change his mind yet again and revert back to "We are going to race Glen Helen and then finish the year in Canada." since his US outdoor season just tanked?

They went into that on the PulpMX show. Basically, RV might not be able to say he isn't racing yet because of contract terms, fill in ridersn not set, etc... This really was the first weekend he got asked about it from members of the media and the more he avoids the question, the more they're gonna keep asking so why not just say, yeah, I'll be there so they don't keep asking? Is anyone really gonna call him out if they issue a release on Friday that says, "we got another test done and feel the knee is not in good shape, so now we're not gonna be at the nationals"? He really had nothing to lose by saying that.
