Suspension
No wheel travel restrictions front and rear.

Engine
100cc max, bore and stroke for 2 stroke, up to Wiseco Factory over bores.
150cc bore & stroke max 4 strokes.
No Water Coolers
No motor built after 1983 or alike.

Frame
No frame made after 1983 or alike.
You can make your own frame.

Number Plates
Factory Works, white background with black numbers. 2 sides and 1 front.

Pretty simple, half page maybe - build it and race it.

It's a 2-way street on the favors and things are better now than they were during the dark period (Iannucci vs Smith/Mann). Nearly 300 MX racers per day outside of the Revenge Class. AHRMA is doing something right.

The racing was awesome all day, every day, but the Tripes Revenge Class at Diamond Don's AHRMA National is for sure the show of each day.

Dang! That leaves miles & miles of gray area to take advantage of by a real "builder". No wonder some of those 100's sounded "throaty". Laughing

Believe it or not most of the YZ 100's all put out about the same power. MT allows updated suspension, frame mods, disc brakes and pretty much what ever you want other than water cooling. They usually put the intermediates, experts and pros at the same gate and they are all pretty equal to the first turn and in the straights. Of course Burner, Gibson, Dubach etc. check out as soon as we all have to start making turns...

The Ossa that Burner races is a 74 Phantom (8) with typical 74 suspension. And yes, it is a blast to watch Scott ride that thing. My Phantom (9) is more or less the same except that the rider is somewhat lacking in the skill department! Keith Lynas built both bikes to a very high level.

Of course, I doubt that...but I'm sure his bike was balls-out to the limit of whatever rules for displacement and stockness are there...or are not there.
Look for the moto 1 and the moto 2 on Dubach that i posted first place both races on Saturday with Coop and Parker right there. Jim Gibson leading the first portion of the race its all about the least mistakes most of the time. One of the top riders go off the track and its very hard to make time up.

Some serious racers on that 43 man gate. Gibson, Burner, Turner, Sun, Beier, Berg, Croft, etc etc. I know the guy who got the holey both motos that day. He isn't very fast but his bike rips!

I think i was almost all the way to the inside near the top of the photo. In the other pic I am "eclipsed" by the guy in the red jersey next to the #2 Yamaha...I think that is Paul Johnstone! I am in the white jersey with orange sleeves. Not my best day of racing, but a lot of fun none the less.
