This is a must watch. Doug Dubach, Scott Burnworth, Guy Cooper, Jim Gibson, Trampas Parker, Maybe you guys can get some pointers watching these old guys race. Barring "The Tbone Steak Incident " It was a great race. Props to Cody Thomas leading the vets with the Hole -Y and a few laps.
The battle continues on June 7th for the So Cal Vintage MX 5 at Glen Helen. Scott Burnworth Organizes a great event every year Modern, Mini, and two stroke classes fore everyone.

PS make sure you get the cool down communication at the end of the video.

Ok, WOW, AWESOME and what a intense race. Good coverage and to see just a little mistake, like a missed shift or go wide, or bobble and you're toast in this Marty Tripes 100cc Works Revenge. I love it, and yes very proud of the guys. WOW what a battle.

Thanks for all you do for the sport and thanks for the Marty Tripes 100cc Revenge class. It brings back some credibility to the AHRMA series that Jeff Smith selfishly skullfucked away. I and many others appreciate what you unselfishly give back to the sport. So, Diamond Don's 2015? I will have the RC500 there .....

Careful. Marty has been growing his series without the help of AHRMA. He has been building his series with passionate racers, bike builders, mechanics, photographers, and friends from the ground up with very little help from AHRMA. The very thin rule book makes this series a bike builders dream, much like the ole Indy days. Turbos vs stock blocks and so on. Start with an Idea, end with a one of a kind bike you can truly get out and race, tinker, race, tinker and so on. Our bikes evolve and are not limited by what appears to be original equipment or how it was back in the day. Its all about making it fast and cool.

Wow...wonder what mods Burnworth had done to his "100"? He pulled Dubach by huge margins all over that track until he got slowed down and Doug made his move. If Scott & Doug were running similar really-100cc bikes, it's hard to imagine that Scott had another inch of throttle available!! Laughing Blink

That said...I'm definately looking for a clean 1983 Yamaha YZ100 now!! Looks like a blast!

Sorry we are not able to make extra parts just as they get broke. But here is a closeup of the tank and ignition cover from the elsie. We might end up selling that one. It has a 125 cyl and a 100 barrel too.

Saw Tripes waltz by a Hannah/weinert/howerton battle like they were going backwards. All three couldn't believe it and couldn't do a damn thing about. Nobody....nobody was smoother and faster than Tripes when he was feeling it that day.

Allowed 52mm piston wiseco or if you are creative you can stroke it two stroke. Or 150cc 4 stroke. both 2 stroke and 4 stroke must be air cooled cyl.

I am not sure about the 2 strokes. Up to 150 cc's 4 strokes are allowed to race the 100 class now. The rules changed some this year but mostly regarding suspension. We are having a race this Sunday at the Ranch (Carlsbad replica track) and I will ask Marty.

Reason for my question, as I posted earlier in the thread (and got no answer)...was the Burnworth's "100" pulled DD's bike hard all around the track. I mean, it looked like Scott was running a 125! Of course, I doubt that...but I'm sure his bike was balls-out to the limit of whatever rules for displacement and stockness are there...or are not there.

What a badass thread!

To think that video had me on the edge of my seat more than any race I've seen it a while....says something. That looked like so much fun.

Where is Diamond Don's located at? Heard the name a million times but just never looked into it.

Dubach was stroking Burnworth in one of the motos, Gibson was killing it in another, then along comes Burnworth and Cooper kept poking a wheel in. All those guys had good motos running at the front. I'll admit, some of those one hunnies sounded a bit throaty! Made for some great racing!

Stuff like that can push an Elsinore freak to the edge.....

Love the reed block grafted on for the Tripes class, but question them in the AHRMA classes. See them every now and then on 125's as well as 250's.
