Man, it doesn't seem like there is much hype going on for this huge race weekend that kicks off in three days time!!! Last year we had all kinds of training videos, bike pics, interviews, track pictures and gossip, ect..... Just seems like there isn't as much stuff to watch and read about this years event as there was last year. Hopefully the media picks it up real quick because all this quietness is killing me.

There is more going on before a normal national on live.motocross.

I was thinking the same...

I heard Thursday Team USA is supposed to practice.

Other then that, NO NEWS...or anything.

I wonder what type of exotic of rental cars Stewart and Villo are racing around in.

The track they chose this year lacks the heritage and reverence of true motocross. A man made track on a relatively flat piece of ground inside a car track. How could it even remotely be considered the greatest motocross race of the year? It won't even be televised in the USA. Ever. The event is pretty much a big so what. Except for the promoters who make huge money from the event and pay nobody.
Why with all the historic tracks around the entire world would they choose this place?

I am sure John Beasley would disagree with you about the huge money made. Youthstream is the one who makes huge money.

Thats why I said PROMOTERS not track owners. I figured people would know the difference but I guess not. Hell after all was said and done Beasley lost money on the event.

Well that is what happens even in other things in life. Once you cross the pond, there is no other world other than our own! Lots is going in the UK, just does echo this far I reckon!

Well, the first post has a point in that searches on mainstream news sites don't yield much.
Like zero.

The MXDN in the US last year got some coverage from major papers like the Post, but it was nearby. This has also been one of the busiest news weeks in recent memory because of the US financial meltdown, recent hurricanes, etc.

It hard for us to yanks to get fired up about moto when our economy is imploding like a used 250F puffer and all we have for leadership is a bunch of wankers.
Wouldn't be surprised if we lost the effin race to top it all off.
