But live is best,
Could you not moved to good seat? We set we we wanted, just moved once.
Guyb has it made,I'd fly a J3 cub to the if i could get all acces.
I'm sure all the flying sucks but moto life is the best.
I know I do!
we did move to better seats but on tv u can see the WHOLE track , u get better announcing to see whats goin on and all the action in the different sections of the track , live it soooo hard to see all the action and who's in what place - u either sit up high so u can see the whole track and then u can't tell who's who or u sit close and u can only see that one section - don't get me wrong live is awesome - the ENERGY is in the air
But going to Detroit is not on my bucket list. Staying FAR away from there IS.
Just saying this because it's my age and every year SX hits so cal I cannot resist going but after it's over I am thinking this is the last year.
We always have passes and good seats so that helps. But the older I get the less I am interested n the pit scene and only go in there after the crowded pit party is over.
I love seeing the bikes close up each year in person, the riders are no big deal anymore....I'm past the autograph and picture taking like I used to do when I was younger or had kids with us.
Track access like GuyB has would make a huge difference, the closer I am to the track the more I enjoy it. Definitely envious of the guys with track access. My daughter did the 30 sec board for a few years and I was sooo jealous of her being down on the start straight while I was up n the stands
Really, only reason to go in there.
Pit Row
But you are right. The scenery in the pits here n So Cal at least is unsurpassed!
Me in action!....
It was a happy day when she got too old (25) and started her family.....but I have never looked at a Monster girl the same ever since
I skipped the beer because I did not feel like paying those prices, and next time I will eat a big lunch before I go in and possibly sneak a sandwich. Other than that, I preferred watching the racing live.
My job was I sat in the first row and monitored the second whoop section. If there was an issue I pushed a button to turn the caution light on and off, that was it. Anyone with a pair of eyes could do it.
Also we are all riders and track crew from local tracks, everyone has experience with riding and racing, one of the reasons we were chosen.
With all that said it was a great experience and hope to do it again.
Glad you stopped to say hi last night Davey. Great to see you.
Post a reply to: back from detroit sx -would u rather watch racing on tv or live?
