let it sit while I was in ohio, so it overgrew with weeds, so I mowed shit down, sparayed it, then disced it a couple times, then worked it again today and it's finally getting pretty good again, switched a lot of stuff up on it and added new sections, spent the whole day riding my 450 on it and had a blast

my dogs have no fear of moving objects, almost hit them a couple times

Dirt looks nice. I always like it when stuff gets mowed down and blended in.

I had a hard time justifying driving to the nearest track wasting gas and paying a gate fee to usually ride on blue groove, so this is a hell of a lot more handy. Anybody wanna let me borrow a bobcat or a dozer for the weekend? I need some whoops/jumps, you don't realize how tiring htey actually are until you ride a track without them. I almost cannot get arm pump at my track, but I do get tired from throwing hte bike around so much, my track is pretty intense, there is only one spot where you are just going straight and doing nothing else, tons of corners and switchbacks makes your shoulders tired pretty quick.

Its the braking bumps that'll tire you out. If your riding on your own they'll take months to form properly. Corners look awesome though! V jealouse.

I could load up my skidsteer(Skidder round these part's) and head on over. I'm gonna have to bring my bike though! I race on Sunday's so that might be a problem. Only six more race's though. Let me know if ya wan't to use it. I'll look at a map and see how far you are from me. It's a Case 1870 or something like that. I built my track with it. Took me forever and now it's gone! DON'T build a track in a flood zone! Just sayin'...

Ha Ha funny you mentioned that(the flooding), Aaron are you going to South Fork this weekend? I heard the starting gates and consession area are still under water. Rumor is they are planning to add some to the track up on the high ground and use a rubber band start.

We are going to Archview.

Yeah...his exact words were..."It will NEVER flood there. We've owned this land for 40 years and I've only seen the water up there once...and it was only a couple inches deep".

Well...turns out that it's been flooded 3 times this year. Once it was 21 feet deep where the track is. I've given up now. I've spent around $300.00 in fuel and I'm tired of messing with it!!!

Looks damn fun, good job! The clay/soil that I have is very hard to compact, too silty. I've got enough room for a small track and have the dirt, I just hate rebuilding the jump faces and the whoops after every session.

Elkhart is just up the road a piece. I usually stop in Lincoln (exit 126) for gas on the way up north.

no, there's no picture of the whole track but there is some elevations changes, the picture doesn't do a good job of showing it (again) but most of the corners are off cambered.

And motofab, last thing I heard is the water went down quickly and they were in the concession building working yesterday, and that they're running no matter what and will likely be cutting new sections to make up for the bottom after the finish line being underwater. If I don't go there you might see me at archview.

voidmain: where are you located? I don't know why I list my location as elkhart, my mailing adress is elkhart, but I actually live just outside of a very tiny tiny town called cornland, about 10-15 minutes from elkhart. The highway you can see in the background of one of the pictures is route 54, I live in between springfield and lincoln.

lastly, kaw rider. I may take you up on that, but I doubt anything is gonna happen this weekend, gonna be busy.

Hey guys there is a Missouri State race this weekend at www.Archviewmxpark.com sorry for the spam. Its a great facility with CLEAN portapodies! Also the dirt is amazing that can hold a lot of moisture. We have people from Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, and Texas coming already. Practice Saturday and stay the night we have a live band. Race sunday and enjoy. You won't regret it i promise.

Jump for show, corner for dough. The only reason I'm going to put jumps/whoops in is to get somehing to wear me out. You'd think riding a track with only braking bumps would do it, but I can barely go 2 laps at full speed on a regular track without pumping up, but I can ride forever on mine. I used to have a triple, but I didn't have the equipment to make it properly and ate major shit on it, tried making another jump last year, couldn't get the face right with the old ass loader tractor I had to work with.

here's what it looked like in '06, some sections (the first one is in a pond that is now flooded) aren't in it anymore due to various reasons, and some jumps were torn down.

the first and last one are inside of the levees of the pond my track goes around, and that tiny puddle is now completely full to each levee. The second one, my dad planted sunflowers at the top of the hill to hunt doves with, so I cut that jump out, and end up coming into that section where the jump is in reverse. I'm pretty happy with the layout now, my friend that I had come over and ride it with me the first time I disced it up said it was worth the hour's drive, when the local MX track is closer to him and he has other practice tracks near him, so I'm content with no jumps for now.
