US open 85s

Edited Date/Time 1/16/2012 6:26am
At Loretta Lynn's they take top 12 in 85 12-13 stock to US open, and the two years i made top 12 in 85 12-13 stock they didint have the US open for 85s. then this year i raced big bikes there they have it for 85s, just my luck LOL.

who do you think will win the 85 race?

I got my bets on Joey Savatgy

the 150 is only legal in super mini classes. do they race 85s or super mini bikes at the open?

I hope they let the kids jump the stuff they want to jump......Jeff Alessi ended up breaking his leg trying not to jump a triple. They were told they weren't allowed to jump them in the race.......

Well Savatgy really was on it a LL's. But if Jessy Nelson is healthy and focused, he's tough to beat. It really sucks Zach Bell had such a bad week at LL's because he can run with or beat Savatgy, Nelson, Bisceglia, any of them!

If I was betting on the race, it would be Nelson or Savatgy!

Is this a mod or stock class?

Some of those boys are getting a bit big for the stock 85 and in talking with Nelson's mom they felt it may have been somewhat of a factor at LL. Bisceglia is also a big boy for the stock 85 and did not to race it at the recent "good times national" held in TX.

Savatgy was on it at LL and should be the favorite going in. Kamm had also kicked it up at LL and being from WI may have more experience in the indoor venues than the other riders. Not sure what Grey's experience is as far as indoors, but give this kid a mud moto at LL and watchout!

This race is basically arenacross and you will probably see some surprises in the finishes.

Bell would have been a favorite, his size helps him in this class ( along with his skill) but a lot of your top riders had issues at LL this year, the total mud moto finished off a lot of your top contenders for starters ( 5 DNF's and countless issues) and well @#IT just happened to many in other motos.

If you check out the finishes in both 12-13 85 classes at LL they were all over the place. Savatgy was really the only consistent rider in both. And earned his double wins with some excellent riding.

Motofab- Jace DNF'd the first moto ( mud moto)

Justin,

Sorry you missed out, but I am glad they brought this event back. Hopefully they will continue it again next year.

i would have liked to see cianciarulo ride sx if they could get his stock bike to run right. he was on it on the mod but for whatever reason his stock bike was a turd at LL. i thought it would be tougher to get a mod bike to run right that to get a "stock" bike to run right.

Doesn't the US open interfere with the national in Branson? You'd have more fun doing that Justin.
