If /when RV gets Title #4 it won't be by chance or fate. It will be through his decision making, hard work and determination not to mention the people that support his efforts.

What happened in 2011? Stewart was 2 seconds of a lap faster, crashed, came from about a minute back and got 11th? If RV does that, I'd say he's got it in the bag.

I think pilotdude was referencing when RV failed to make the main in Jacksonville in 2011.

RV is like RC in the sense that he know exactly how to manage a c'ship series. Call it "luck" for him or "unlucky" for others, but as RC says you make your own luck and RV is the best at making his own luck!

I'd never want someone to crash due to the injury potential, but maybe if RV just had a harmless tip over and someone accidentally bent his brake rotor leading to a DNF. The guy is awesome and I have no issues with him winning #4, but I wouldn't mind seeing it come down to the last round.

Damn this is funny as hell! As "mediocre" as he's been riding and the only chance for everyone else who's "stepped it up" is that RV has a crash, a mechanical or someone else "bending up his bike" so he DNF's!!!

Maybe to make it fair for everyone else RV should start with a 25 point deficit? And I'm being sarcastic. I get everyone wants a more exciting season, but RV has earned, and deserves the lead he has. I don't want anything to happen to any of the guys, or their bikes. Just give me straight up good close racing.

I think anyone who wishes a crash or a mechincal on a rider is a douche bag of epic proportions..

the racing each night is great, talk of a more exciting championship to justify saying it is just bullshit, you're just a little fanboy for some other rider...

RV is riding more conservatively than I've ever seen him ride...and Dungey is riding more aggressively than ever. Interesting. I'm going out on a limb & say that unless Stewart goes into a"24-0" mode...I see Ryan Dungey the points leader going into Vegas, a few scant points over RV.

RV has a knack for getting pretty good results on bad nights.... A1...he lows sides...gets up FAST...and finishes 5th.
Indy he goes down hard at at the start...15th at the end of he 1st laps...finishes 4th. Compare that to Stew. Stew goes down hard at A1...credited with 17th. He low sides it at ATL...finishes 11th.

4th & 5th vs 11th and 17th. That alone is a championship killer....

RV has scored less than 13 points only 2x in the last two years. A1 2013 and Seattle in 2012 (knee). It just does not happen that often.

This year....RV is averaging 20.4 points per race. If he continues performing as he has...RD would have to win 4 and finish 2nd in 4. Stew and KR are in the same boat..they both have to win 6 out of 8...and they have to finish 2nd in the other two!

It is in the bag....
