If Tickle had any balls between his legs he would have pounced on MA in the main and returned the favor
Tickle was way faster in that Heat race. He stalled then restarted and proceeded to catch and pass Alessi effectively in short order. In the Main he was probably a bit busted up after getting Tboned.

Next time you go in the pits at a So Cal SX you will see many past champions and they are only recognized by the industry folks....the current fans would not recognize MC if he T-bones them in the parking lot.

Ferry and Denny stated unbiased honest opinions of last night....MC took his personal hate of Mike into his tweet.

THAT is how you brake when you are sitting down. You raise your foot off the peg...so you can REMAIN on the brake. Tickle is in the same position when he is braking while sitting. That said...it does look POSSIBLE that Alessi was trying a brakeslide/powerslide pivot and exceeded his skill level.

I am absolutely amazed that young fans do not know who Hannah, Glover, MC, Johnson and Wardy. Like any sport, history is important to the health of the sport. When I have kids, they will know all the past greats.

It is sad BD. A good example is at the KTM pits where you have the current stars like Roczen and Dungey. Sure they are great riders, but off in the corner will be THE greatest MXer of all time and most likely 99% of the fans there have no idea who it is.

RAISE foot off peg while sitting and JAM brake pedal down VERTICALLY 6" BELOW the peg WITHOUT locking up rear wheel, got it!

These pics support the notion that he lost his brakes and it was accidental contact. They show a MA800 getting unsettled by the Tuff Block contact and not being able to make a pivot turn.

Pic #1 shows a turn to the right. After this moment, the Tuff block gets clipped and he gets unsettled.



Pic #2 shows an elbow up and he's looking at his spot to turn. He's not looking at Tickle




Pic #3. He's not looking at Ticle or aiming at him. He's turning to the right.



Pic #4 turning to the right again. Not aiming at or looking at Tickle.



Lastly, if someone is going to hammer another, you would think they would be at the back of the bike, prepared for impact.

I believe he could be capable of a 30% effort in a takeout. However, I see MA800 turning away from Tickle and failing. If we could see the same sort of images of a blatant takeout from back-in-the-day we could compare.

its amazing how you can defend what alessi did. I mean come on, he is a professional racer, even though he doesnt come close to winning, he still knows exactly what he is doing on the bike. He bad already slowed down to a speed in which grabbing the front brake would have stopped him almost instantly, so saying his foot got ripped off and he couldnt stop is total BS.


Its not like a kamakazi take out is something strange for a guy like Alessi anyway.

I've always kind of liked Alessi, but he CLEARLY waited until Tickle was in his sights, then pined the throttle and dumped the clutch. Watch it in slow motion from the inside of the corner - in one video I've seen it happens at precisely 1:04; bike slowing down, easy enough to miss BT and then Boom! Wrist turns WFO. Mike dropped the hammer on Broc. Those of us who have ever ridden a bike can see it clear as day.

really man, just because he wasnt looking directly at him doesnt mean he couldnt see him. I mean unless he has tunnel vision, makimg the argument that he wasnt aiming for him is insane. Does he need to be holding a sign saying "im gonna take out tickle!!"? or maybe... just maybe... he has been riding for long enough to know how to judge the distance between him amd the rider in front of him

Is it not possible that Alessi popped the clutch and hammered the throttle to try and brake the back end loose to swing it around? JUST A THOUGHT. CALM DOWN.
