I'll be happy to give him some help, tell him to actually stand up on the bike. He sits down 20 feet to early in every corner and has his elbows dropped causing him to look uncomfortable.

Wow what a crazy experience. Reminds me of doing a race in the Polish Championship once, must be 10 years ago. Awesome track, but people got crazy the second moto. Got given the finger for running with the locals, people were throwing stuff behind blind jumps, but nothing like Jeff experienced.

Sup guys, Im from the DR and I know Raynear and many riders over there. I have to agree that the way they let the fans in the track is crazy. I often go to DR to see the races and I always have the same thing to say about the people jumping in the way.
Now for the video where Jeff tries to scare the race director. When the practice was over Jeff was allowed to do two extra laps and then he wanted to keep on going. The race director was trying to stop him and it seems to me that Jeff tried to play with him and accidentally hit him. Im my eyes Jeff was very disrespectful as he would never do something like this here in the states.

Another thing is that the people in the DR love when foreigners come over to race and they were very excited to see Jeff an ex AMA rider to come visit the country.
Knowing my people in the DR they were cheering for Jeff more than for Raynear because everyone wants to see an outsider beat the best in the country.

Raynear is not a confrontational guy and had good things to say about Jeff because he knows he is an excellent rider.

The folks in DR would love to see Jeff there again and try again.

Raynear this year will only race a few races in DR as he will be racing in FL.

Jeff Alessi is NOT an "AMA" rider. He is banned from racing AMA events.

I havta say, in 40 years of being in this sport, that is the craziest race I have ever seen!

I also love the famous picture of Joel, one of the most classic pictures of all time, thanks for posting FTE. Smile

That couldn't be further then the truth.. So your saying I got the checkered flag and continued to do laps? Sorry bud I don't know where you were watching from but I didn't want to spend any extra time on that track then I had to. I've posted this already 1 time but I guess I'll have to again. THE OWNER OF THE ENTIRE FACILITY WAS MY MECHANIC, he is the guy who brang me down to his race, he is the guy that called the shots and he is the one that told me to practice a few starts because the bike was not equipped with a holeshot device. I got the checkered flag and went over to the gate where the guy with a red shirt was already having issues with the other Suzuki rider who was not part of my group. Everyone came off the track and did the same thing, they practiced starts. Now that that's cleared up I'll move I to the racing! I got the holeshot and started to easily put a lead on the second place rider, at that point the crowd began to stand on the track in the main line and throw stuff at me. On one occasion I had to pull a bottle out of the nose piece of my helmet! In the bowl corners people were reaching out grabbing my levers causing me to change lines very low in each corner. Around the 4th or 5th lap I started realizing the crowd was getting worse every lap so I took a slow outside corner and let raynear by because I knew we still had a second moto and after moto 1 I would have a chance to talk to my mechanic Henry about what the crowd was doing during a RACE so he could possibly make some changes or say something over the mic! But after I went to second I was close on raynears heels and exiting one of the corner before the finish line I road directly into his back wheel causing me to high side into the lip of the finish line. This was not a race, this was a crowd doing whatever it took to slow me down and distract me from doing what I do best in races like this and that's getting a lead and winning. The racers in d.r. Are good riders so I don't mean to be rude and sound like they are not fast but his Gopro shows clear evidence of everything I am saying. Ok?

Actually like to have Ray mejia chime in on this, He had to have seen that shit going down
Actually man, I am the owner of that gopro hero3, and since I did the editing, I can tell you, those things you see flying are not bottles or anything...its just what is coming from alessi's bike!! I can post a better pic of that exact moment

I can say nothing about people aroung the track, or inside the track!! but Jeff rode perfectly, he made a mistake, and after the mistake he was not able to take a jump correctly, then he crashed, I know in my country this type of race are not even close of what you have back in the states!! but we are trying to. after this incident, we are changing a lot of stuff in our organization.

you can see more pics and videos in my channel and fan page in facebook

We were very glad seeing an AMA rider in DR, since we always have lots of americans riders but just amateurs that come here to compete, with very high level, but still amateurs, the news of having a real pro in DR was amazing!! I am not trying to excuse then fans' attitude during the race, this is an issue we've been having since always, but it depends on where you race.

That particular track, is not really designed for racing at that level, we have much better tracks for those types of bikes 450/250 (mx1/mx2) actually that track is not included in the Dominican MX calendar.

This is an example of one of our best tracks in DR.

Said this, we feel really sorry of what happened back in DR, we would like Jeff Alessi, consider visiting us, to race in a proper location!!
