I dont mind either way really ...but I dont like any black
plastic ..
not even the Rockstar Ktm's this year .
Althoough Andersons looks quite fast

Mast be this extra performance bearing
i think it adds more performance than the white
rear fender.

The answer is simple, they need *something* to look different so the sheeple will think its better than last years model. You can only get so far with BNGs ! I mean, how else can you brainwash the sheeple in to paying 8K for a toy, on revolving credit, that is worth half what you just borrowed soon as you load it in your truck?
But I got 0.9% financing* and $300 in Bonus Bucks!!! It was a steal! LMAO

*Financing available to those who qualify. 0.9% APR financing valid for 24 months. After 24 months remaining balance to be financed at 18.99% APR. It is recommended that Bonus Bucks be spent on Honda Genuine Parts lubricants. Apply liberally.

A white rear render has got less ions in its construction due to the fact that less additives are used for the colouring (coloring) process ,hence when ie going through the whoops it does not flex as much keeping the rear of the bike more stable. Cool Dungey could benefit from going white as he seems to have the most unstable set up (but it's the rear fender being orange) Stewart would not crash as much if he changed as well Dry

Priceless ......

Its only ok to have a white rear if your front plate remains white to keep the balance.

Its also like the white boot thang I suppose

I've google searched this, searched it on here, searched it on thumper talk, and so far I can find no reasonable answer for this question. Why have Yamaha Honda and now Kawasaki switched to white rear fenders? I think it looks hideous. It just doesn't make sense to me. Like the front half of our bike is one color and the rear is a different color, why? Yes the manufacturers may have made it flow well from color front to white rear with graphics and what not, but that doesn't mean it looks good. Now I get there are some people out there that do think it looks good and hey, to each his own, I just don't get why these companies would use a white rear fender as a stock part. Is there ANY benefit from this? Is there any logical reasoning to this switch?
I had a guy tell me once that there are no stupid questions........................He was wrong.
Why would anyone even think about it it long enough to have to ask ? or worse yet search it or google it ? There is no reasonable answer because its not a reasonable question. Blush damn dude, get a life.

I have lost many nights of sleep wondering why auto manufacturers used to put pin-stripes on all of their models back in the day. smh

Simple pick A or B

A) when you run an old lady over on the trail walking her dog, she tells police " all I saw was the white fender at the back"

Cool The white fender makes you meet the parts guy, when you order the matching rear fender.

I throw up better color combos after 7 shots of jager and 3 taco bell burritos.
Yeah right! What kinda poser would put that hideous combo together? Wink

They came stock on the 2000-2001 models before the plastic changed in 2002.

Not like the rear white only thing, only looks ok to me. But whatever. I do like the idea of the white airbox, I mean, that was for performance! What was that about a girl shaving her....?

you're commonly seeing white fenders as the designers are trying to establish visual connection between the side panels and the rear fender. whether you like it or not is another question all together.

why white though? because through the years the majority number plates have been white by default. if common numberplate background was grey, you'd be seeing lots of grey side panels and grey rear fenders. same reason seat and shroud color is often matched. they're setting up visual flow following the bikes natural component lines.

Not a fan of the white rear fenders or the black rims either. Both seem to be the trend these days. The factory Kawi's at last year's monster cup went full green on the number plates and rear fender and looked sooo much better, IMO. Was really hoping they would run that look this year. Unfortunately somebody (probably a corporate beancounter who thought the bikes looked too different from stock) decided to throw the white fender back on for SX.

If you hate the white rear fender that much, there is a custom painted helmet floating around here that will really piss you off.

I don't understand why some people have to rag on the guy for asking a simple question, this forum is like being in high school again sometimes.
