Apologize if this was already posted. So Hayes plays the AX game and Bowers doesn't appreciate the standard "AX pass" made on him. So what does Bowers do?......holds onto the wheel of Hayes bike so Jacob can't move. I say WTF.....Bowers should be DQ'd or at the very least docked some positions. Just imagine if this was RV/Stewart. Go to the 2:50 mark for the silliness.

His leg is caught underneath the bike and he has the wheel right next to him to grab on to and try and free his leg. Why not use it?

And all you guys saying that he was trying to grab the other bike to free his leg are full of shit. As soon as bowers gets hit and realizes he's going down he starts grabbing for the other guys wheel trying to pull him down too. Bowers is grabbing for the other guy before he even hits the ground.

Hayes must have eaten Bowers' peas without asking. That's usually the only time he flies off the handle.

Other than that, I'm sure he is perfectly reasonable.

I mean, I'm not a fan of Bower's antics in the past, but I think holding someone up that just took you out is fair game. Stewart did the same thing to Reed in Atlanta 2011, when he stood on Reed's bike while kickstarting his own.

In some ways I agree with you and in some i don't. I guess its a fine line. I was at the race on Friday night and Bowers hit Hayes so hard on the start and then put him to the ground passing for the lead. It was the same way and corner Hayes hit him in this video. Rubbing is racing and in Arenacross sometimes that's what it takes but if your dishing it out the way Bowers was then I don't think you have a right to hold him up.

I don't think it's ever fair game to try and hold someone up like that. Unless it's the final lap in the last race of the series, I'd just wait until I have an opportunity to get the guy back. Holding somebody's bike up like that is a bitch move.

And as for Bowers, don't dish it out if you can't handle it coming back at you.

I saw the same thing on Friday night. Rubbing is racing, but it seemed like Bowers took a cheap shot passing for the lead with several laps to go.
I guess thats his MO.
I like seeing Bowers get a taste of his own medicine. Maryland should be interesting!

You guys are soft.

This type of behavior is safe and exciting; a win-win for the fans. Moreover, the "victim" put himself into that situation--if he's going to clean someone out he should probably not take himself out too.

I don't understand the mentality that calls on the governing body to stop a particular behavior like this. I believe in self-help remedies; the fear of retaliation should be the deterrent. Calling on a third party, in my opinion, represents weakness.

What are you talking about? I dont think one person on here was saying that the riders shouldnt ride tough, and hit each other. The only thing that was said was that it is a bitch move to grab someones wheel to prevent them from riding, or slow them down.

If Bowers slammed Hayes, ok. Hayes slammed him back, ok. Bowers grabbed his wheel... hes a chump and it would have been funny if his finger got caught in the spokes... he would be feeling stupid, thats for sure. Rubbin is racing, but that was just being a little girl.
