I do agree it was an off night for RV though and something has to be wrong (reports of him being sick) he would have normally cleared out after a holeshot. or would have normally got back up and moved forward again, he is still the man to beat this year.

But Reed can not be counted out yet.

If? If doesn't matter, Stewart did crash like he does way more than not and RV who is my favorite racer by far also crashed. Reedy rode his race and landed on the podium. If this had happenes or maybe if so and so had done this or that means absolutely NOTHING, Reed didn't crash he did finish 3rd on the podium.

its also about staying on the bike eh? Everybody can go fast if he pushes harder but its A1 god damnit. Pretty sure Chad could have gone faster but he'd rather lose 2-3 pts than ending up with a DNF (like Stew this year, RV last year, RC before etc.)

How many times has James Stewart crashed in/out of main events? the race goes for 20 laps whether you crash or not and this is one of the reasons why McGrath's record is so good.

The "gave up" part is what sticks out in my mind. He actually took alot easier hit than it was shaping up to be. He didnt even think twice about getting back on the bike to salvage points. Hard to pull for someone who would rather stomp around and be seen all "distraught" than suck it up and at least make effort for sponsors sake if nothing else. I saw the picks of the bent bars and all but i doubt he did. Its like a reality show anymore "oh no the fastest man on the planet has wrecked his bike, look at him cry and hug his brother"

reed looked sharp guys. I think the real selling point for me was the post race interview- granted it's a few minutes after the race but he wasn't blown up at all. He was calm, relaxed, happy and confident. That is a dangerous reed going forward.

js7 is my favorite rider because of what went down tonight. When that dude is in the mix you're going to see some amazing speed that is hard to match and if he doesn't have it- you're likely to see him hang it out trying to make something happen to the point that something catastrophic happens.
