Love watching Herlings rider, cool video. That being said, I'm tired of this guy spamming shit on here and telling us to like and share it. And I'm tired of people having to start a USA vs. Europe argument every time a video of Herlings comes up.

If I dropped 20 lbs and stepped off the 105 up to the 2fiddyeff I think I could run with him. Might need a full faced helmet and some new gloves though.

can we ban this kook from posting links??

this guy has just ripped a video from February, uploaded to his own channel, pretended it happened recently and no doubt he'll be along in 1 days' time to "up" it....

here is the original version, like i said, from February... give credit to Maxime Lefevre (who didn't need to make any BS claims about it being "insane")

really pisses me off when people rip other people's work
So, this Jamie guy took someone else's video and posted it on his own YouTube account?

If so, it's a bad move all around!!! Either lacking common sense, or just plain dishonest.

If he liked the video, he should have posted a link to the original one.

In any case, to me it was just a shaky video of a great rider at a terrible track.

That doesn't even look fun. It almost seems dumb to practice on something like that since the risk of injury is so much higher. If you land on softer dirt, it is a lot better than landing on brown concrete. Trust me, I've tested them both!Wink

Riding the extremes in terrain is good prep for the GPs, you need to be at home on that stuff for some of the French and Italian rounds. In general I like seeing the top riders deal with different terrain, you can really appreciate the technique and skill - as opposed to the usual media of pros railing nice big friendly loamy berms with copious amounts of traction everywhere.
this, this and this..

no wonder American tracks are getting shut down (yes I know of the other reasons).. if it's not absolutely perfect no one's gonna ride it! god forbid the terrain is in it's natural state and not ripped deep and watered perfectly for fuck sake it's motocross!!

oh and this dude is a cock if he's taking peoples videos and claiming they're his

So if someone uploads a video of U2 to their youtube channel they are implicitly claiming to be Bono?

OK.

The fact is, the person did not claim authorship or claim that it was recent like YOU said they did.

Someone else said it was a young kid uploading these videos. If that's the case, I suppose that they are probably not too privy to the ins and outs of citing sources and the like, which is a bit ironic being that most of the users here probably watch youtube videos of races that are not legally within the boundaries of ownership.

It's pretty easy to assume he is claiming it as his own though. Seems like he is trying to build up views so he can form a partnership with youtube

your U2 analogy is completely errr for want of a better word, wrong.... he isn't claiming to be herlings, he is claiming to have filmed herlings, which he didn't.... because by putting it on HIS youtube channel he agrees to a whole load of "terms of use" that he owns the footage

3. WTF is with all the fence post lining the track?! That's not dangerous..

That track looked better than the hole we called a National in UT.

Slippery hard pack off chambers. Herlings is a BEAST!
That's about as hard as hardpack can be, pretty dangerous but, great for practice, you can't appreciate how fast he's going but looking at the other riders gives an idea,

The track would look fine when it's all pretty'd up etc I suppose, like most

Tracks like that (or should I say the tracks in the US) are the reason the GP riders have caught up to and in some some cases exceeded the level of the riders in the US. Our riders would turn up at that track and turn around and go home and then bitch about how ill prepared and dangerous it was.
Believe it or not one national track that is now considered sandy and loamy used to be just as hard pack and dusty as that....everybody's favorite...Red Bud!
The fact that most of the prep being done on the majority (not all) of the tracks that the pros in the US practice on is equal to or better than the prep of a GP track on race day is causing the US riders to be spoiled and not able to adapt when it gets gnarly.
We need to find the fine line of letting the tracks get rough and gnarly but yet still be as safe as possible.

And by the way those posts are just downright insane! you might as well line the track with trees!

Besides the fence posts the track looked pretty fun to me. Hardpack and technical, the perfect track to work on your throttle control skills and body positioning in the corners. Seemed to have a nice flow too.

I agree with a couple of the others, we dont have tracks like this on our National schedule and I think its hurting our competitiveness with the Euros.

I can adjust my analogy a bit and instead ask the question, do you suppose that if someone uploads a video of U2 that they are claiming to be the one filming the video?

Of course not.

Do you suppose that of all the videos that are posted of motocross races on here, that the persons posting them on their youtube channel are claiming them as their own?

Do you also seriously think that the person who posted the Herlings video, someone who is supposedly only 13 years old, actually read the terms and agreements from youtube and would understand privacy rights and legally liability?

Get real. Nowhere did that kid claim the video was his or that it was a recent video. You made that up all on your own.

I do hope though that you are going to go on a crusade and get all the motocross videos banned on youtube where the persons posting them have not asked for permission or cited the person who filmed the video.

I think it is hurting the AMA riders as well. You have no tracks to compare to a track like Lommel and looked what happened there. Two of your national champions (the best you had) were humiliated. Would have been no different if Villopoto had been there, he would have been waxed. The yanks should be able to ride on any type of track like they could in the 80's when they were dominate. Now, you have smoothed out tracks with supercross jumps everywhere formatted for television and when an AMA rider hits a traditional motocross track, they get smoked.

you can find all the info here http://www.mxlondinieres.com

Track supervisor is Dirk Dierckx father of Dennis Dierckx ho is a former GP MX2 rider and now Mechanic for Jens Getteman within the Honda LS / 24MX racing team

You can go out there and stay in there own bungalows and stuff.
The owner and supervisor talks fluently Dutch , French , German and English
Are the owners/supervisors fluent in water-truck?

Chill. Sanders is an idiot. He used to make threads like "Jeffrey herlings 125cc gopro 2013" with his own GoPro video, not Herling`s. He`s doing it all to get attention. He`s doing it all to get hits in his youtube channel.
If you ask me he`s a little mentally challenged.

Another poster said the kid was barely 13 years old, he probably just wants some hits on his youtube page and is excited about motocross. Maybe cut him some slack and offer him some advice on citing the author's of the videos he's putting on there instead of getting upset about it like ayearinmx has.

@Kongols thats barely a club buddy thats probably a picture taken on one of the benefit party's for riders a lot of the riders do that here in Belgium in the off season.

And according to his last reply he does not give one rats ass about what we think, just did a check up he's actually 17 and that makes his puberal behaviour even worse.
