I think you are confusing " Ass kissing ".....with being logical and using common sense. I'm going off of what I've been seeing these past few years. And when " RV is on ".....you're right....he is just about untouchable.

This is the thing......he is an extremely smart racer. Only pushes ( normally ) when he has too.

The list of titles that guy has racked up over the past few years speak for themselves.

Saying someone " IS " going to step up and put RV in his place....for a championship? I haven't seen that yet.....so let me know when that time comes.

Then again MEC is basically a sprint, suits riders who may not have the stamina of others to ride at warp speed (so to speak, please dont take warp speed literally). Sure Stewie was fast at MEC, but if that was a 'normal' SX race would of he been able to hold that pace for every lap? :-)

Just for giggles, here's some main event times from earlier in the year.

Monster Energy Cup
Main 1 11:01.068
Main 2 10:58.367
Main 3 10:58.656

First five mains of 2013
Anaheim 1 18:56.800
Phoenix 17:29.219
Anaheim 2 17:59.155
Oakland 18:56.872
Anaheim 3 18:10.478

It changes a little when they hit the football stadiums
San Diego 15:52.353
Arlington 15:26.992

And for the long end...
Daytona 27:14.644

You like to focus on James "fastest" one lap time! But it's a race, and the fastest average time is more telling of a riders competitiveness.

At MEC in the second race, averages:

JS 1:09.519
RV 1:08.787 (9 laps)
BamBam 1:09.458

and

The Dunge' 1:09.953

This shows more of how seasons are actually finished out.

The sheer number of Championship caliber riders this year I think will be the biggest obstacle for anyone to WIN the title. Of course, we thought that last year to Wink

Come on now, RV fans have taken over the Stewart fan comparisons. Digging into a faster overall time even though RV crashed and Stewart could have been mailing it in after the crash to compare who is faster. Get outta here.

Here's to good racing and seeing JS7 finishing a season clean and off the ground. May the best man win (I'm hoping it's JS7)....

You're reading a bit too much "RV" into my post man Wink That's why I included Barcia and Dungey, and stated... it's how the season END'S and the titles are WON! Not by one lap of greatness! Here here, yes... may the best man win.

Thank's for playin', try again!

Thats interesting, shows that the main event time difference from MEC varies between 50% and 170% (longer), quite a difference. Which is why these guys need to be so damn fit!

Did you factor the Joker Lane into Stewart's, Barcia, and Dungey's average?

That is odd. I believe the Q has the largest field area of all the football stadiums, so why the shorter main?

Apparently long, fast runs down the full length of the field.

Isn't Roczen's KTM contract up at the end of 2014? Isn't Wiemer's contract with Kawasaki up at the end of 2014?

Maybe Kawasaki and Aldon are priming their next rider for the team. RV and Roczen. Wow, that would be a powerhouse.

Dungey and Barcia have the best chances. I would have said Millsaps, but so much for that. Stewart will win some heats and maybe a race or too, but recent history will repeat itself.

I believe Dungey has it in him, he just has to be the Dungey at Anaheim 1 in 2010 (or Minnapolis last year), for every round. I think losing both titles last year and the MXdN loss will really light a fire under his ass this year.
