Why is Villopoto and Dungey faster the Stewart when there on 250's and Bubba's on a 450? Are those 450's just to heavy and a bit of a handfull to ride?

Whats going on, someone must be able to explain?

I would say JS was being careful not to crash or tear up the bike any throw away the perfect season.

I am sure Bubba was going as slow as he could, which he finds difficult. But it does seem strange that there was only around two 450's in the fastest laps top ten at the last round.

If you take RC out of the equation there is no one to push Bubba to his potential.

1. The track is rougher for the 450 moto.
2. RV and Dungey are just really fast.

It's been proven over and over that the 250's can run the same lap times as the 450's. It would make sense that a 450 would pull a faster lap time but it just isn't the case. You just ride a gear higher on the 250f and always keep it wide open. Just have to ride them a little different but lap time wise there really isn't much difference.

Does anybody remember when James was on 125 and people were comparing his times to RC's times saying James has faster lap times and RC better look out?

What happened when James moved up?

he is slower because ur dumb and don't know or read anything about weather, track prep, track conditions before you post something...

remember when JS was "just as fast" on his kx125...in his case he was!!! but give him a big bike and watch the crashes pile up...will be the same for the two young guns...

expect big crashes next year from rv and 28 if he makes it up...but doesn't sound like it...

May start a new "old" trend if you're not careful.

I'm okay with that. We're edging into the off-season, and I have an itchy trigger finger. Smile

Oh, and the correct answer is exactly what Alan said...no one to push him.

My guess is, James has a lot left in reserve. With luck, we may get to see just how much next year.

James said himself after the race that he was NERVOUS and just wanted to keep it on two wheels.

Don't worry, I've been randomly deleting stuff in non-moto. A few Obama threads, a few McCain's...I'm an equal opportunity deleter.

DOUBT THAT! the PC machines were touted as having 44 hp, thats 11 down from the bone stock 55hp of a honda 450.... not to mention the 450's have more torque...
