Actually, this thread wasn't started by people who were offended, the offended was the OP who's submitted advertisement wasn't accepted (allegedly). that's right, it was in no way "banned", it just simply wasn't accepted.

so let's break this thing down a little bit further.. if the posted advertisement was actually in fact submitted, post the design in the ad specs to each mag in which you purchased. because you don't just send along an ad and be all like, is this cool? you buy the space and design for the space.

and then there is the actual "ad campaign"..
without getting into anything that has been said in this thread, just look at the ad:
there is zero product placement, there is zero call to action and i hardly believe the website url in the lower right was actually ever part of the "ad" in like 8pt type.

the main call to action is in the original post of this thread where dude says to go to the website to buy some cool "shiat"

so ya, pretty sure this whole premise is just a bunch of bullshit and if dude was just all like, yo - go to my website and checkout some shirts we have to sell (where the pricing is no where listed until you add them to the cart and later find out they are $26),
he may have leveraged that good will motoxxx had in the bank from back in the day. instead dude had to basically call all the "major moto mags" pussies for not running this ruse of an ad.

hey, if homeboy sold some shirts because of this, good for him.

also, i am the bad guy for calling this a cash grab.

lates.
Allow me to break down your break down....

"Banned" was used, just to make people look...it flat out worked..there is no denying

I really need to lie about whether it was or wasn't submitted to any magazines or not? Glad you are an ad expert..thanks for the great tips..much appreciated. A learning lesson indeed..

There was no "campaign" ...once again, glad you have amazing idea's of what we should do with product placement in any ads we might do...we for sure need to listen to your expertise i now realize...need a job?

If i had wrote "hey guys, please go check out our website" there would be barely any views, and barely any comments. I know you have to sucker everyone into looking...and what, gonna say im wrong? I'd say there is proof in how many have looked. Look at yourself, you cant keep yourself away from this post and not only that, i got you to thoroughly look through our website ...thank you for checking it out

Im friendly with pretty much all of the MX magazines and yes, it was each of their rights to use their own discretion to not run the ad. I cant say i wasn't disappointed about it though but, i have no hard feelings whatsoever and i doubt they do either.

And ya, this certainly was not or is not a cash grab (whatever the hell that's even suppose to mean) and you or no one else can deny what we did for the sport. We were original, we were cutting edge, we didn't play by the rules, we did it our way and like i said, we helped out a shit load of riders. Not bad for two punk rock drummers and a snowboard film maker that came from 100% outside of the "industry"

All the haters that have wrote all these negative shitty comments, i have been laughing my ass off reading them..seriously. There is so many fucked up video games out there that so many parents let their kids play (let alone the parents play themselves) like Grand Theft and whatever those other crap killing games are (never played any of them myself) So quick to judge what is write and wrong. One guy said it perfectly "this post did just what it was supposed to do..piss off everyone who would get pissed, and stoke out everyone else that likes what we do"

Oh, and i didn't post this here thinking "oh hell ya, im getting a free ad" I've only known this a public message board and posted it here..because i could and i knew it would get attention and a rise...which it has indeed. Plain and simple.

I ask myself why i waste my time on here with this shit but...i guess its kind of entertaining and ya, with my company starting up again, its a great way to put our name out there to all the cool industry people out there as well as the "kooks" Im just one of the "kooks" ya know...its all good!

By the way, shirts are selling well and there is great support from great people...like this guy right here. Someone was bagging on this shirt but, a legend of our sport picked it out to wear it and that pumps me up! Thank you O'Show!!!

We see you over, Attention Whore, we see you.

There was no "campaign" gn"
You been campaigning here about the biggg comeback for a few weeks. Yeah that's a campaign.

If i had wrote "hey guys, please go check out our website" there would be barely any views
Are you saying you don't expect your product to stand on its own merits?

Im friendly with pretty much all of the MX magazines
If that's the case, you are a shitty "friend" to dime them out as pussies here

Yeah, we get it. You can stop reminding everyone

There is so many fucked up video games out there that so many parents let their kids play (let alone the parents play themselves) like Grand Theft and whatever those other crap killing games are (never played any of them myself)
WTF? Put down the pipe, man.

Oh, and i didn't post this here thinking "oh hell ya, im getting a free ad"
Bullshit. You wanna pimp your company? Help support the site like the others. Maybe I've missed the ad banners....

I like MotoXXX

I don't like the Ad and see why it was rejected. I get the idea I'm just to old and cranky I guess.

I do like that Shirt Oshow is running, that is cool.

Good luck to Jordan and MotoXXX

From a standpoint purely of a public relations position, I would not have run the ad either.

In a time where people claim there is a "War on Christmas," post signs and bumper stickers stating "Put 'Christ' back in Christmas" and are upset, even angered, by locations, both public and private, removing Christmas displays and signage, and are also upset over "Happy Holidays" and "Holiday Events" as opposed to what's been typically known as "Merry Christmas" and "Christmas Events," it's not worth the hassle and headache to run such an ad in a publication knowing darn well that your inbox is going to be blasted by hate mail with even a possibility of losing readers as well as other advertisers over it.

Sometimes, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

That said, you made good use of it here and turned it into something practically viral, good job

na man, i've been having laughs too trolling the troll thread. i always just thought motoxxx was cheeseball. i get they had a good thing on the pro level way back when. but best believe, when i pitted next to someone with motoxxx graphics at the local tracks, i would lock up my shit when i put in laps. just seemed to be the flagship for degenerates to me. hence the "advert" about stomping on santa. then again, i'm 39. *shakes cane

but fuckit, i feel bad. what can i do to help motoxxx? i'll do it probono. anything to get j-law to actually show up to a race. that kid has turned the corner from what i have read.

It's my opinion that companies like Metal Mulisha and Moto XXX make our sport look like a side show circus more than a professional racing event when they make ads like this. (Remember the POACHED ads from Metal Mulisha? Cringe.) The DGAF attitudes bro lifestyle is truly the skid mark on the underpants of the motocross industry. We want our sport to be taken seriously like Moto GP, Formula 1, or even similar to NASCAR, but this crap right here contributes to the circus act that a lot of the world sees it as. Bash my opinion if you'd like, I really don't care. I don't think it's as distasteful as it is immature and stupid.
I couldn't have said this better myself.

Come up with something better, and maybe sling something besides T-shirts.

You need content. Put out some vids of a fast guy in a glitter bike, help him try to make a main.

XXX has as many fans as ever, but you've got to be more creative to rise above the noise.

I wonder why the riders and other insiders don't post here much?

You need content. Put out some vids of a fast guy in a glitter bike, help him try to make a main.

XXX has as many fans as ever, but you've got to be more creative to rise above the noise.
Give us a lil time, this slingin shit just barely got off the ground again..more will come. A fast guy on a glitter bike in the main would be great of course but, at least we've already been successful with doing that already. We will do our best but, i don't hear any noise anywhere. Maybe im a deaf drummer? It does feel good to have fans everywhere and that we do as it was a question on our FB page, where ya from...i was surprised by all the cool responses from all over the world..especially Australia! So ya, we are just getting this kook train back on the tracks

By the way, thanks to everyone who's private messaged with me with awesome support and thank you to those whom have offered to run our ad for free...much appreciated!

And if you saw the Clash play live, that's pretty sweet. I cant claim that one up

Bonseff > "i feel bad. what can i do to help motoxxx?" well, the only thing you can do to help is to give any sort of positive support instead of a bunch of negative crap...but its seriously all good to me. I like the negativity and the shit talking..its all good with me

How can anyone bag on O'show?

Muzzle, if you remove your Muzzle, maybe you could say it better? Give it a try!
