Trust is an Interesting word.

Kind of like Trusting someone to do the Right thing vs Trusting someone to do what they get paid to do right or wrong.

If you are refering to me in the get paid to do the right thing. I think it would be hard to find a media guy who puts more effort into making my sport look better in Europe (in the last 20 years). Thats my job, for sure not to put it down. I always say, I got into Motocross because I loved the racing, and I didn't get into it to read about politics.

Did it feel like I was talking about you ? I thought it was just an interesting Observation about Trust and the perception of it.

And yes, nobody goes out of there way more to project a positive light on GP's than you, almost to a point that might cause people to have trust issues.

My family and friends know I am a super positive guy and people are always pulling me up for saying such and such is the nicest guy in the paddock. Check out my facebook page and you might see just how positive I am. Not sure why people think I should be negative, just because that seems to be the general rule here.

Jay, where's the trust issue? Geoff always has been honest that he sees his role not as an a journalist tasked with ferreting out issues and reporting them without interest. He's always been clear that he's crafted a living from the sport as entertainment and that his job is to work in synergy with YS to make the GP's look good. That's why one can put his Geoff googles on and enjoy his magazine. It doesn't pretend to be anything more that a promotion of the GP's. Anyone who looks to him as acting in any other way hasn't been listening to him honestly and openly admit that's what he's about.

And knowing that, one can take his opinions with a grain of salt and just BS with him on here. I'm not sure I even care whether he believes what he's saying, whether he's saying to bait people into arguments or simply as a promoter of the GPs; the opinions stand on their own merits, such as they are.

when you want to be honest and tell the truth .... you can't always be positive ....

that's the problem with mx press in Europe ... Always positive .... it wil sound maybe weird to you, but that's a bad thing for mx ...

And I don't waver in my opinion. Pretty simple, but some people still don't get it. What does make me laugh is how many people are interested in my opinion and are so keen to make contact with me via my topics here.

Everyone in the GP paddock knows me as somebody who likes a laugh, and when they read some of this stuff they always crack up laughing.

I think to much is being read into it. I don't want Geoff to be negative and I'm not in a position to say He's trust worthy or not.

Hey Geoff, haters gon' hate! But I love what you do, I think you do a great a job! Respect! As for Deano, he will be alright no matter where he is. He's one of the most down to earth riders ever. He rides because he loves to ride, not because he gets paid. Hence the reason when he got offered a spot on the best team you could be on, you'd be crazy not to take it. Good luck Deano!!

Give you a cool moment that pretty much speak volumes about Ferris. At this years MXoN he had just had his MX2 qualification moto. Rules the World more or less and being a fellow Aussie I was pumped for him.

We were talking after the race and watching the MX1 qualifier and he says in his Aussie accent. "Hey Geoff, you want me to get you an Aussie team shirt to wear this weekend".

Now I am not really into all that stuff, but in a moment that he must have been riding on the wave of his life he thinks about this old journalist, fellow Aussie, because he knows what it meant to me how the Aussies were doing.

One of the nicest moments dealing with a rider this year, and I will miss him.
