Team Solitaire?

Ryan got towards the end of his racing Career, Him and Jesse Black opened the "Dirt Lab" MX Store 5 years ago.

When the economy Tanked , Teams like Solitaire were hit the hardest.

Jesse moved the Dirt Lab to Utah and seems to be doing good, not sure Ryan is involved with that, I did See Ryan was selling his own brand of Fitness Supplements called "Motovite"

Ryan Clark is a stud for growing that team the way he did........Just saying.......wish they were still around.

His column in Racer X back in the day was always my favorite...good writer and cool he was in to punk (the team name came from a Strung Out song)

I was a friend and supporter of that team since the beginning, it was a fun time.
The year when it was Brawndo Energy Drink he got burned by them hard.
That was close to the end and of course, his results were slipping as well as he grew older.
Ryan had some personal stuff going on too and everything piled on at once.
He gave the rig back to the owner (he leased it) and went privateer for two more years ('11 & '12), making a few 450 mains each year.
500 is correct, Ryan is still doing Motivite Nutritition and some other things in Phoenix and Jesse is sole owner of the Dirt Lab up in Salt Lake.
I think 2004 was his best year on that YZ250 and I think for the most part, he was happy with his career.

Ryan is a heck of a good guy. When I was in Phoenix, I use to adjust him and whoever his riders were. I think he would make a good team manager for someone and I'm surprise that no one has asked him yet.

I was watching TV a few months ago and saw some commercial for one of those muscle relaxing machines that uses LEDS or IR light or something..anyways..they showed him in the commercial riding a YZ125, must have been 2002 or so.

Anyone else seen this commercial?

Ryan is the man. He is one of the nicest guys in the industry and a hard working humble dude. I got the chance to ride for solitaire/ dirtlab for sx and it was such a cool experience. He looks at the positives out of every situation and makes you feel stupid for thinking other wise and complaining. Living in Arizona we dont have many sx tracks, and the few we have/had are beat up. He didnt care about the conditions he thought they were good, so we did our motos and sprints. In between motos when we were supposed to be taking a break, we would get our shovels and start fixing the bad spots by hand! Pure old school moto. After meeting him, riding for him, and becoming his friend I realized that was the reason he was able to form such a solid team out of nothing, because he takes nothing ( such as the track conditions) and runs with it. I look up to him and am thankful for the support and tips he had for me.
