what i can t understand is why they had some guy we never heard of give us his oppion of the bikes , i agree with getting a non pro as well to do the test , but Daron Rahives ?? , puts the susuki last , cause it does nt handle in corner s,or the stright s,when every rider for the last 5 years has said the suzuki is the best turning bike ever made , then says did nt try change any clickers on any of the bikes , like i am for a non pros view , but one who has a little bit of a clue , to put the RMZ last , makes him look like a moron , ps i ride a honda , but i feel the RMZ AND KXF are the best at the moment, and i think most agree, but i feel you just cant beat the reliability of a honda and that important for me ,
First off, it's his opinion. His opinion is niether right nor wrong, it's just his. Why bang on the guy? Your gramar and punctuation makes you look like a moron.

Do people wake up each morning and work at filling a list of ten things to bitch about each day?

i was just in a bitchey humor last night , broke ribs 8 wks ago , so was glad to be back on the bike last wk , but got a bad lung infection so got an operation last wk , now out for another 6 wks , was a bit pissed off when i wrote this, , but still feel there was no point to Daron s test , seem s like a very cool dude tho ,
Brother, when things go sideways like that don't going looking for more misery, especially in a bike test. I mean, you've got leprechauns and fairies and stuff, and Guiness, in Ireland for crying out loud.

i suffer from bad dyslexia , so i think i am doing good to write as well as i can , dont asume i am a moron cause i cant spell , did u read the title thread , i am not giving out about Daron , it s Racer X shootout , i am giving out about , it was them who asked him to do it , like the shootout should be to inform people wats good on a bike and bike , imo, just would of rather another x pro or good vet riders opinion , rather than learning which bike Daron likes the most , and i really did nt mean to come across banging on the guy ,he seem like a really cool dude , it was racer x choice of testers this thread is about ,

Ryan Morias did a bike introduction for us... not a shootout. The new bike intros are designed to showcase the new bikes and have someone who can speak intelligently about the changes convey those updates with readers. Ryan was the perfect guy for that so please understand the difference between a test and an introduction.

Shootout formats are far from perfect. If you really wanted to know which bike was "The best" you would have to spend months and months racing and tuning and getting different opinions from riders of different skill levels and weights. But if we did that the results wouldn't come out until way, way after most people had already purchased their new machines. What the hell is the point? We are trying to give readers some feedback from those who have the luxery of riding all the bikes back-to-back-to-back. They are just opinions because there is no perfect formula for bike testing. Hopefully you get some nuggest of information that you can use when you are headed to a dealership to lay down your hard-earned money on a bike. When I get asked which color to choose I tell people to buy from the dealer who will best support you. Maybe that means discounts on parts, best pricing, service discounts or whatever. All of the bikes are good there are just some that suits different riders better than others.

And for those not paying attention we always have Dunlop mount the exact same tires on all the bikes prior to the test day.
first off, thanks for responding and explaining. No, I did not know you run the same tire on all the bikes. I grew up waiting for my new mag with the shoutouts. They were always informative and just cool to read. These days with so much media, its not the same, I bet you would agree given we are kind of close on age.

Anyway, thanks Ping for the "shootout". I enjoy reading it even if its not 1990

You should be glad Mr. Pingree came on here and gave you an explanation, let alone the time of day.

You aren't worthy.

What sucks is how much Yamaha did to there 450 and it's seems to be the same as the years before. So far all the work to centralize mass to make the bike feel lighter has not worked. Most riders are saying heavy feel and still shotty feel in the front. When are they gonna get it right? As for the Honda a lot say the motor is down on power......but the average person will never use or need all the power the current 450s have, so it really doesn't matter so much.

x2 i hear this so much that honda is down on power , but then everyone give s out about 450 s beening too powerfull , then when there riding the 350 they love the power because it s like a fast 250 , and can control the power , but that thing is a pig , the weight of it compared to the crf , plus the crf has more power , than the 350, seems like everyone has beening crying out for a smooth 450 that wont pull the arms off you , and make it light as possible ,so honda do just that , and loads of people bitch about power they were never ever going to use anyway ?
yeah I agree I am not a Honda fan but i giggle when I read shootouts and they give Honda a hard time about a mellow power output when 90% of riders out there will never use the extra power other bikes have, if anything hondas (dare I say it) are more raceable for the average person, but HP wins for shootouts ...allegedly
