Hi everyone,
I'm looking to go to the Toronto Supercross.. Never been to a SX race before but been to Steel City several times and had a blast. Couple questions..
1) Anywhere that has promo/discount codes on tickets?
2) Thoughts on where to stay in downtown TO? Not super expensive (broke college student roadtrip!)
3) Whats the best height to sit at at a supercross? I found tickets in the 100 level, row 26 so I'm assuming thats only 26 rows off the floor which sounds awesome, and they're right in a rhythm section so they look like awesome seats to me, but in order to see the whole track well they might not be so awesome in that regard. Thoughts?

2. Nof really any options, unless you want a room by the hour and sleep with hookers and crackheads. You need to be out of the city for cheap. Google Milton Ontario and see what you can find. Sort of convenient to get to, or maybe Stoney Creek Ont. Some cheaper chain motels along the QEW heading back towards the border.
3. Usually plenty of unsold seats you can move to, and leaning against railings is an option too. Well, I'm 6'6", so it's an option for ME. Your placement guess sounds right though. Maybe Google Rogers Centre and see what you can find out. Good luck, and don't forget your passport.

Save your money on tickets and sit in section 200 this way your further away but have the whole track in front of you.
never park at Roy Thomson music hall they lock their gate at 2 am the cheap parking wasn't cheap...
they say it alway sells out, it never does,
stay at the dome get a room with a balcony to the track then you dont need tickets.
204 or 244 sections in the corners gives you close view .

I live almost 1000 miles from TO, but have made the trek twice. I've only been to 3 SX, Tampa 89 and TO a few years ago and last year. I have family in Kingston and TO, so I crash at their place.
For lodging, Expedia.ca rocks pretty good, I have never used any of the other web booking sites. Parking is wicked expensive in TO, like any major city, so if your parking is included in the motel price, that's great. I love the day transit passes you can use to jump on street cars and buses.
I'm sure your seats will be awesome, all level 100 seats are good. I like to sit by the curve at the end of the whoops, but what really matters is who shows up.
The first time I went, the racing was incredible, JS7 crashes 3 times in practice, early in the main, and still catches RC with a few laps to go to battle for the win. IT WAS OFF THE HOOK!!!!!!!! I don't even remember who won the 250's.
Last year, with some many injuries, the racing was ok, but the mains sort of blew, Villopoto and Barcia killed it. It was still a great experience though because they have added a pit party Friday night, it was awesome. Until you have gotten your picture taken with the Monster Girls, you have no idea how hot they are. And Erin and Ralph (he was nice, and doesn't care what us monkeys think) worked very hard. Erin made sure she was available to everyone (that doesn't sound good).
I got Reed's (and many others autograph), even though I told him I was a JS7 fan. It was great he made it, he was pretty broken up.
Having had the same job for almost 30 years, and been married for over 20, I enjoy going out and viewing ladies that like brass, shiny, brass poles. SO, an $80 stop at the Brass Rail is a must on my list.
With the pit party, and going early for qualifying (the gates open very early for level 100 attendees), I really enjoyed spending tons of time at the Skydome, Friday night from 6PM on, and almost all day and night Saturday. When you are on the track, well a woods guy like me anyway, has no f'ing idea how they do it....there is a lot of blind jumping. The favourites to me are the riders really going for it. You can tell the "points counters", I won't mention any names. The riders like Barcia, RV (even though he snubbed the autograph line of fans), Windham, Weimer, you will not believe how fast and in control they are....the skill is phenomenal, that is what SX is, a skill display/race.
You also won't believe the colours and the great looking bikes, especially ORANGE, lol.
Let's hope that there are few injuries this year.
Beg, steal or borrow a good camera. I'll go to my grave kicking my ass that I was cuddled up to Katelynn and Sonni and got a shitty point and shoot picture to show for it.

I agree with the above statement, location has big privileges in a huge city, get as close to the Rogers Center as possible, stuff the room with a student sausage party if you have to for costs....and rip the city up!

I agree it is not a "mechanical pit party" persay, but I think that is what it is called. Was super fun.
Erin Bates is the hardest working person in SX as far as I can tell, got my picture taken with her.

Anyway, read the web-site for the event, it has details for different ticket options, seating plan c/w track, make your decision.
How early before the heats does opening ceremonies start? or do they start at 7 with racing following or is the first gate drop at 7?
If you go out late at night, I've always had a blast in "Little Italy", basically College Street between Bathurst and Spadina. There is a pretty fun pub called "Sneaky Dee's" and heaps of other "establishments" in that area, it's really safe around there.......

The night show starts at 7:00pm first gate drops at 7:30pm I believe...
Wayne Gretzky's if you want to watch the game friday night, its right off of Front St. (on Blue Jays Way) infront of the Dome....
I live in France and I'm going to Supercross Toronto in March 2014. I hesitate between the seat of level 100 or 200 and the section would you choose to give me advice?

Section 200 row 1 seems to be the best so high. Then I hesitate to be on the side of section 236 (whhoops) or section 214 (tables jump).

on my ticket noted "12:30 Qualify practice" it means that I can attend the afternoon qualifications in the stadium?
