He can't paint anything. If you don't want a helmet or don't want to have anything to do with it then don't comment? I haven't been at my shop all day. That's why I haven't put any pics up. If you are interested great. If not then move along. If you wanna see the quality then buy a helmet and send it to us. If you started a moto company and wanted to compete you have to put your name out there. If we're not better than TLD but at least close t their quality that's our business. I'm trying to promote my family business. If you don't like it then you've never had a family business. We turn out great work. No matter what anyone on here says. I'm just trying to promote and get our name out there.

TLD has great quality work. I've never said anything bad about them. I'm saying we can do just as good. Not every helmet you send to them is going to be painted by Troy Lee himself. That's where the "if not better" comes from.

A more appropriate way would of been something like, "hey guys check it out, im a helmet painter, see my work here" and post some pics of HELMETS.

Saying you are as good as or better than TLD, whose rep speaks for itself and is also a company that has supported VitalMX for many years is not disrespectful, it is absurd.

Take this as a leaning lesson and move on, be humble and let your work speak for itself.

Thats the last i have to say on this subject and i wish you the best of luck! (seriously)

here's another design i've been working on the last couple years, just about two start on potion colors.

if i can figure out how to scan it and remove the blue lines, then i'll be ready. i really don't want too have to start over on new pages, two much work into this design too start over

also, kind of a pain in the ass two trace it ontoo the helmet because it's round and my art paper is flat

Ryan and Sharkey.......I'm not able to make it this year due to work. I'm buried up to my gills right now and working 7 days a week. My little business is seasonal and right now.....I'm getting hit pretty hard. Which is a good thing ( I think )

You're not getting a hard time because of your intent or your strategy.

You're well intended in helping to market the family business. The strategy of doing that on industry-relevant discussion forums is a good one.

You're getting dragged over the coals because of your tactics and your terrible execution.

Yes, other people have "promoted" things here, but their tactics were ecological with how things work in forums. This place in particular can be quite ornery if you poke it wrong.

If you haven't already blown it in the other big forums, here are a few suggestions.
1 Don't kick the door in with Spam and bold statements that you aren't prepared to back up.
2 Humility and tact go a long way. Promoting in forums is like making love to a grizzly bear. Might be great fun, but it might eat you.
3 A painting business / Artist needs to have a portfolio of photos that don't look they were taken with a potato. And for goodness sake, learn how to correct the orientation of them before you upload them
4 If you have painted helmets, then show quality photos of helmets
5 if you haven't painted helmets, then paint some for free or on the cheap to build up the portfolio

Best of luck to you. It will be long road to tow in trying to reboot your reputation here. But it can be done with humility and tact.

That bicycle helmet was the only thing worth while that he posted. Something I'd like to see some HD / oversized pics of......the other stuff didn't do anything for me. At all. Then he disappears into the sunset without showing one shred of proof that he's on " The same level as TLD ".

Hey Scottie....did I ever tell you...."I was in the same league as RC ( The GOAT )....but nobody was ever around to witness my pure speed and talent " BUT.....you can take my word for it. I'm telling you I was on the same level as RC.....I just don't have any pictures or anyone else to back it up. You believe me though right?

I saw my first Troy lee helmet up close at Pontiac in maybe 87 it was the top of a head with a brain exposed I wanna say it was Mickey Dymonds but not 100% it was cool as hell TLD is the best in the biz if I'm gonna spend any good amount of money ill be reaching him check out some bad taxidermy sometime ya get what ya pay for
