True on one aspect yet on the other Weston has gotten a lot more air time than Reed when they have raced the same race this year. More airtime = more advertising for sponsors.

I'd consider buying a Dodge truck with Weston marketing them before I would Chad Reed. Lets be honest thou how many you think Chad Reeds gonna sell? You have to look on ROI and considering WP asking price would probably be roughly an eighth of what you're gonna pay Chad you can't say Reed would be a better investment. I think Reed still has a couple years left but he's not producing at the moment and is a very high maintenance rider. On the other hand Weston's producing with potential thats just begun to be scratched, is a low maintenance rider and would likely excell more with factory equipment. If Reed lands at RCH it will be because Shift and Monster kicked in the $$ & want him on the team. Since they're rolling with two rigs I'd love to see them hire Weston and Mookie while keeping BT/Hill(sx). Budget team with big results.

i'm with you on this one.

Congrats to Weston for his riding this year, he's been awesome for the equipment he's on. huge respect.

as an owner/manager/whatever i would go for Reed any day over Pieck. no brainer.

if i ask my nephew if he wants a Reed or Pieck shirt, who do you think he'll say? Reed duh, and he's only 7. you could go around the crowd at a supercross or national and do the same and end up with the same result.


ps for all the vitards, i'm in no way saying Pieck doesn't deserve a ride or even the RCH ride.

If I am a team owner and there is one rider that wants 2mil and produces a top five spot but seems to be on his way out. or there is another rider for 200k for a proven top 10 and has potential to be top 5 on my equip. He is also young and determined to put in the work. I would save money and take a gamble.
sign him to a one year deal and see what happens.
