There has not been much talk of who they will pick upas a second 250 rider. Isn't Bagget available or what about some of the younger rookies like Martin or Webb they can build over time? Just curious if anyone has any insight or pure speculation.

None of those guys are available, they all have contracts for next year. I was guessing Joey Savatgy but Rockstar KTM announced they are taking him on and retaining Jason Anderson. So it looks like Red Bull KTM will just run Musquin as the sole 250 guy for another year then end up just being a 450 team. They'll probably depend on Rockstar to be their factory 250 program.

Also pure speculation at this point except for Rockstar's 250 guys. They'll cut loose Izzi, Sipes, and Wharton it sounds like.

Doubt they will do anything extra to Martian... They've got Anderson and Savatgy on the Rockstar 250s... I'd imagine Sipes & Wharton are up for discussion too...

Ferris is signed for MX1 next year anyway.

Don't really understand why Roczen is moving up and Musquin is staying in the 250's, I guess it's their choice but it should be the other way around.

Romain Febvre would be a good signing, he's definitely one to watch but I guess he's probably already signed for next season too? Just checked and yeah he's signed for the new Husky team.

What about Luke Clout? He's raced a fair bit in the US.

"Ferris is signed for MX1 next year anyway."

Is he? Didn't sound like he was from his interviews from over the weekend

Well in a recent Moto magazine interview Steve Dixon said he'd signed to race for them in MX1 next season, but you never know with contracts I guess.

Indoors Roczen has no choice. He raced 3 years and won a title, that means automatic bump up. If Moose-Can had made that pass on Bowers in Vegas he would be in the exact same position. But luckily he didn't and has another year of 250 eligibility.

Of course, didn't think of the races he did in 2011.

The other thing is the fact that DeCoster might not have the budget for a 4th rider. By getting Rockstar on KTM's and Savatgy riding for them He can have more orange bikes on the starting line as well as keeping Savatgy close by in case he needs to move Moose up to the 450's due to injury.

Honda did the same thing with WH19 and ET by keeping them on Geico Honda as Honda did not have any more room for a 3rd or 4th rider. If BamBam or TC41 gets hurt WH or ET will get the call

I don't know that I agree that Tomac or Hahn would get the call if bam bam or trey were to go down. I don't think they would replace one 450 rider with another 450 rider? If that were their plan, wouldn't windham have replaced canard when he went down previously? I mean he was the 450 rider for geico. It just doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps replacing them with another Honda 250 rider from the opposite coast would make more sense in supercross.

Seeley is staying at TLD so he would be and has been Honda's 450 replacement guy. (on the east that is)

this seems to be the most logical of options. he seems to ride the 450 well, too.

I think Mookie should be Honda's 450 replacement guy over Seely, assuming Mookie goes back to TLD 250s for SX. Mookie and Seely should run opposite coasts so no matter which coast they're on, one or the other can fill in on 450s if need be. Both are great 450 riders. Wouldn't that be some shit? Mookie takes out BamBam then on top of that, gets BamBam's bike for SX due to an injury? Or gets Canard's bike and is in the same semi as Barcia? lol Hopefully neither Barcia or Canard get injured, love seeing those guys out there. Great style on the bike.

Doesn't TLD usually run their whole operation as a west coast only team? But yes I agree that Mookie would be a good fit for the 450, as well. Maybe the points situation would contribute to picking either seely or mookie as a fill-in rider. But we are throwing out some major hypotheticals here. I also hope bam bam and trey both stay healthy and this scenario never has to be played out. Maybe getting back on track for Red Bull KTM and their 250 team is in order, haha.

I think you may be right on them being a west coast only team. For some reason I thought I remembered seeing TLD bikes on the east coast, but I must have had a lapse in judgement. lol Another Monday for me. Getting back on track here, Red Bull KTM's next 250 rider?? With Musquin and Roczen, it appears they've had success from bringing riders in from across the pond. Let's see... who's next on the list? Whistling

I wouldn't be surprised to see them fade out their Factory 250 team after Musquin moves up, and use the Rockstar team as a feeder similar to what Suzuki did. Would be a huge asset to have both RedBull and Rockstar KTMs in the 250 lineup though.

Personally i think Kenny should ride 450 in and 250 out. RC always said his biggest regret is not spending a 3rd season on the 250 to gain more experience. We know Kenny cant ride 250 in SX, but nothing is stopping him outdoors. In 2011 Kenny rode SX but went to ride GP's. It took Eli a 3rd year on the 250 to win this title.

Would be cool to see Wharton back on an orange bike. Remember when he used to race 45 classes at each amateur national for KTM?

I could also see him ending up at PC somehow.

I'll take a wild guess Cole Thompson, who just finished the season with a win in MX1 at Walton with KTM.

Dakota and Chase will be on the Orange Brigade team that was created for Savatgy this year.

Ferris has to go to MX1 and does like the bigger bike better so would be cool to see him stay in Europe, Styke I think would handle either very well if given 2 contract, it will take him a year to figure it out and get comfortable, but he would be a top runner for sure after he settled.

If he goes to Europe for MX2 he has one year I am pretty sure then he has to move up because of the BS rules over there.

Makeham only 19 maybe just turned 20, can ride SX and like Styke is a fast learner who continually rises to the competition he is racing against, Think he could surprise with a 2 year deal in the AMA.

RC was talking about supercross when he said that, he won 3 championships outdoors. And Kenny has raced 3 years of SX indoors.
