His engine-mayhem seems to be ignition/map/possibly "voltage""related...it just doesn't seem to "light up" w/ the kick-starter (remember X Games? He was sooooooo pissed 'cause it just Will Not Start!)

I'm pretty damn stoked for him; because, Mgrs ARE talking about him, FINALLY! And...I've been pushing the concept of what an Excellent Development Rider he'd be (kinda like Ferry crossed w/ a Linebacker).

Last night on the way home, one of those "Mgr's" kept saying, "Dude! What about YOUR BOY? Damn! He was ON IT!"

A few things are changing among the front runners. New riders are coming and, I think, a few guys are going to quit and/or "move down the ladder". In those circumstances, Weston's opportunities start to look pretty good.

The guy is a racer, period-no nonsense Bob Hannah type. He doesn't need PR training...give him what he needs and let him go and do what he does. He is embarrassing a lot of guys who are making great money and getting everything else that goes with it, and he doesn't whine about conditions or whatever. Rides a worn out bike and finishes 4th OA. Hire this MOFO!

There hasn't been a more cut and dry example of someone deserving a ride in a while. Reminds me of Cody Cooper in '08, however I think Peick will do much more with a good ride than Cooper did.

And he doesn't get hurt, he's durable. The only races he's missed over the last few years are from choice not injury, with the exception of a few. Hes gotten better in each progressive series year in and year out since 2010. It just makes good business sense to hire the guy, and he can wrench on his own equipment. Lol

His bike looked like it was handling terribly compared to the factory bikes and explainably so. Yet he was making it work. I noticed he had to slow up in several sections that RV and RD could just stay planted and pinned. I think I noticed it in the sand section the most but there were other parts of the track that his bike seemed Busch league. It's been said in about 40 other posts but I want to see what he can do on better equipment.

What he did at Utah was even more impressive to me if you watched his suspension versus the guys he was running with. His back end was all over the place and kicking up like crazy.

The guy is strong and in shape. Any team manager has to like that.

After the race he was getting things together in his van. No banners, no barrier, we walked over said "awesome ride" he said thanks shook our hands.
Rather see him get a "blank check" rather than a ride. What ever he is doing, its better than other programs.

Out of all the 450 privateers, Weston is hands down the most deserving of a ride. I see lots of support and fans around other privateer(s) who have yet to do a damn thing results wise. Cant remember what rounds Weston missed but he's still comfortably in the top 20 in points. I really hope to see him shredding under a semi for SX!

WP is 17th in 450 outdoor points while racing on a very limited schedule. That in itself is very impressive.

If I win the Mega Millions or Powerball, I'll make sure WP gets to every event next season if nobody else does.

Nice ride, WP. You've earned your chance and I hope you get it.

If Peick doesn't land a quality ride next year I will go into total boycott mode of this great sport, well besides DMXS radio and Matthes' PulpMX show. WTF the kid is solid as a rock, hard working, well deserving and has the potential to be much better. Loads of potential, hell Weston admitted he couldn't even ride a Supercross track at first and now he's racing with the best in the world on one!! RCH, Factory KTM, Rockstar KTM, BTO KTM, Factory Suzuki, JGR, Star, Factory Honda, or Pro Circuit please hire this young man for pennies on the worthless American dollar and let him produce. He'd make a great second rider and in some cases a lead rider considering he's BEAT factory guys on the reg all season. Don't know why RCH wouldn't jump because he's smacked their lead riders ass more than once with far less resources. Willing to bet he could be obtained for far less than half of what an over payed Tickle is knocking down. Also odd RC isn't wanting to work with him considering he was in underdog mode throughout his career with him being to short, riding to wild, in beginning outta shape, not able to ride a 250 & not able to ride a 450 fourstroke. I really wanna see him on a Suzuki considering he's riding the wheels off a subpar bike beating some damn good riders. I don't give a damn about any of the little hiccups he's had that weren't political correct because it shows he does care about his results. Heck RC threatened to shoot Matthes when he was our beloved champion in his Honda days. The kid has heart, burning desire with FIRE and that can't be taught!

If I'm Weston and not getting any play in America I would be looking north or over seas.

Do tell, I'm curious as to what bridges he's burned exactly and how he went about doing it.

I asked him the same thing earlier in the thread and he doesn't have an answer or at least one he is willing to share.

In this day and age of every pro racer needing a "boot", "goggle", "helmet" guy and 50 thousand other nut huggers blowing sunshine up their asses while they sit in the air conditioned 18 wheeler having 3 mechanics work on their bike from dawn till dusk it's good to see a guy blow the doors of nearly all of them with nothing but a LOT of heart and determination.

Bob Hannah would be proud.

If he does well again this week there would be no denying it.

BUT is his success the result of no pressure to produce? Some guys get a factory paycheck and the pressure to perform is too much. Maybe someone can give Weston some more resources and see what he can do then, because whatever he is doing now seems to be working.

That's right. Maybe burned bridges was the wrong term in the context. I kinda meant the industry as a whole. Torco knows where he can look for more info. I'll keep my keyboard tighter from now on here.

One more thing. If I was a team manager for a satellite team I would be taking a chance on him. I like his kick ass take names attitude.
