Damn, after Husqvarna, Dixon Yamaha, CLS Kawasaki and Beursfoon we need to conclude the the Gariboldi story is also dead and buried?

Don't know but maybe Leib needs to become a man and sit a season out on just a good bike before he starts demanding a world class bike!

He should ride a bike from 1985, heard they eat these newer bikes for breakfast! Whistling

Talking of Garibaldi,I did wonder why they couldn't get an engine together for this week's GP? I thought they were a decent size outfit, with support from Honda afterall, but this is from their website, riding his own bike WTF??

I heard that he is no longer welcome at garaboldi
Now he does all his own stuff.
own motor own suspension own petrol, rocket exhaust
what they themselves have is so good
look at this great result with his own stuff

MX2 - Free Practice - Classification
22 80 Leib, Michael USA AMA Honda 1:48:40
3.8 sec too slow

Free practice says nothing on a race over two days. Cairoli was 16th in MX1, do you imply he suck too?

Nope, I'm not eligible for the 250 class. Wink

Serious though. I give him the benefit of the doubt. Thus far he's had all sorts of excuses. I'm waiting for the one time the bike runs and it's up to him to prove what he's capable of.

If everything works he should be able to run the pace of Heibye and Kjær-Olsen which is at best around top10.

You guys sure are a mean bunch!! I give the kid credit. He is living the dream, doing his best and racing all over Europe. How many people in their lifetime can say they did that. Good luck to you Michael!

He's already proven himself to be competitive given the right equipment - against some good competition too.

I just want to see him get a few races under his belt without any more controversy. I am interested to know why he keeps persevering with Europe after all these set backs instead of racing a few Nationals though?

Popularity and allegiances are pretty erratic around here.

No need to bash him like that, he is trying like the 30 other guys on the starting grid, at least he has the guts to cross the ocean Smile

Any AMA rider is welcome, it makes the series more interesting (competition & audience).

I really don't understand that decision either.

Is it really that hard to understand? He seems to feel he needs a top level bike to compete and keeps trying European teams that offer him a ride. Maybe the question is why won't any teams in America offer him a ride... There has to be something to it!

Their engine selling expedition has majorly failed. Perhaps they should fire marketing director.

his radiator cap bent after a rock hit, and then when he went to grab it... it exploded in his hand and now he's got severe burns, and a hand completely wrapped in bandages

not that those facts will affect your hatred of him... Pinch

I think it's a sign that it's time to hang it up and go home.

I don't think thats really his choice... If you've screwed with 50% of the paddock and that 50% told it to the other 50% ... Like my fellow countrymen said:

And c'mon it's not because you've finished once on a podium you need to start demanding GP wining bikes. Thats just ridiculous!

First I will say I clearly a fan of the kid since I do choose to travel to half these far off places with him. I think its funny you say that 50% of the paddock doesn't like him.
Bud racing... We hung out with Jackie today and he views Manola (jackie's girlfriend) as his Europe mom.
Ricci racing... (Old Factory husky team) Hates the kid sooo much they tried to get a Factory TM mx2 together for him for this weekend but we agreed it was not a wise decision.
Dixon Yamaha... Need a spare set of bars for the weekend... They gladly loaned us a set and in Germany we had dinner with a few staff/team members one night. Oh the hate they have for Leib! Lol
CLS... It just never got off the ground and CLS went another direction. I know CLS didn't have some talks about him as a fill in at one time but Jimmy D got the ride. But the point is they would even call if they hated him yes?
The Dutch Suzuki guys... Didn't work out and they are not happy they made this clear.
Garibaldi Honda... They took a chance and Germany didn't go well at all, they made it clear they didn't want to take any risk of a repeat in Czech due to honda Japan staff being at the race.

Yep 50% of the paddock....

How about maybe giving the kid some credit for wanting to do good in Europe so much that he's gone thru hell yet refuses to quit.
