I'm sorry, but your photos prove nothing. Video i'd believe, assuming you could actually dissect technique, which most squids can't. Not saying you are!

He was fastest qualifier at Daytona, he's beens struggling with front end feel, he's been sick, his knee maybe left him a little unprepared... All things he has said, himself, in interviews...

BUT, if you're gonna tell me you can tell that from a photo I think you change jobs and get to Cali quick, there's loads of bros that need that level of coaching...
Exactly, lot of guys in here who need to get out there and show him how it's done, only problem with that is I don't think he will learn much from you while he's lapping you.

I take back what I said about Reed after listening to the interview with him on the main page.

He's not blaming the bike, and states that explicitly a number of times.

One thing I do find puzzling is his reluctance to identify the physical issue he is having
Its simple, details of whats going on physically would potentially create more unrest in the team and sponsors than keeping quite in hopes the physical issue can be taken care of.

Go to a race and see what the ratio of reed to barcia fan shirts R. Reed is worth alot to honda even with the results he is getting. This thread is a tribute to that. His tweet this morning indicated he is selling 2014 and 2015. Sponsorships I am sure, I believe he already has a bike deal inked with Honda or Yamaha. At this point his past performance is worth more then his current results for a bike brand.

So the strategy is to keep insinuating something is going on with him physically in every interview and hope the sponsors assume it's just a cold?

No, but he's never been a guy to tell you all the details.

He doesn't tell you what or why he is sick, just like he doesn't show videos of himself busting ass on a rower or road bike.

He's doing ok tho, he's got this MX and business person thing pretty well handled I'd reckon. Tho I don't have any photos to prove it.

No. Obviously it isn't a cold. But when it comes to his health and family, these are areas where sponsors, fans and general public should understand the reason to be private in the matter.

If he can quit worrying about that damn tablecloth, I think he will do just fine.
Who ever has it, please return it.

If you guys don't see it , I'll tell you what I see !

I see a Chad Reed that isn't as fit as he used to be ! And before Reed blames the bike , the air fork or any other mechanical thing he might just look himself in the mirror ! Because he looks much stiffer on the bike than he used to. I ain't saying he look fat, but he isn't as lean as he was when he was fighting for podiums.

I'm not a hater ! I a big fan, but sometimes you must open your eyes and see the real situation.

We all know why Reed have this situation, he has problems with his knee and some other health issue . So he can't train as he used to.

But back in the early SX series he was blaming the bike mostly. But as it comes out now ... He knew already then that his health wasn't good. That's what's bothering me.

Don't think Honda are very happy with his act right there.

So Yamaha is probably the only good option left.
Did you read what you wrote before you submitted it?

Might be a good start prior to your next critiquing of multi time champ.

I'm not going to lay more time on this. It doesn't really matter. Reed is a great champion and done a lot for the sport. His time has come and gone. Just like McGrath and RC...

Reed might comeback as a top 5 guy... But he will never win another AMA championship.

Stamp it !

I think everyone is getting a little excited writing him off so soon.

He has tweeted recently that he has been able to start training again and since then his results have started to improve.

Im callin a couple of top fives by MIllville.

Will he win again???

Time will tell.

I sure hope he stays away from that new Yammie though.

Agree with everything up to this... Good news he can start training! He should just come out and say it since he can not competitive until he starts training....

I sure hope he stays away from that new Yammie though.

I disagree....

Yeah.. wasnt meant to blame you for his words :p

Imo its strange that he has excuses every other month why he doesnt perform. I mean, one can only keep that up for a short while before everybody doesnt beleive you anymore. Which is about where he's at now. Either get a written doctors report with some details, or just give up. The whole privacy thing is kinda bs. if he has something serious, he should just say so, so everybody (incl. sponsors etc) know where they're at. If you have a serious illness, dont race(i highly doubt it will do your health/mental state any good, and you can even be a hazard for other riders.). If you dont, stop complaining.

can you tell us what is his excuse this time? He said that 99% of the problem is himself. He is not performing like he should. He says that the bike is good and the team is good. What he should say ?

If it's a recurrence of the Epstein Barr virus it could be anything up to being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
We all saw him pull out of the nat's when it first happened and if it's the EBV it could scare away any sponsor
that views their money going to team two two as an investment that may not get a return if he pulls out again.
I think there's very good reason to keep this very hush hush.
Likely, he is past the treatment phase of whatever was ailing him and we will see better results. I think
Reed's tough as nails but I think the Ryans are getting out of reach of the old guard.
