Anyone heard when they will be released? Spy pics?

I have heard a few whispers about EFI on the 450....

This has been a hot topic on thumpertalk

http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=664572

I've ridden Honda's for a long time now but I'm thinking of switching over to Kawi's for next year. I'm leaving alot of contingency money on the table by riding red, plus the kawasaki's look pretty sweet next year. I'm kinda wondering if honda isn't hurting there sales by waiting so long to release information on the 09's.......

The hot RUMOR (and thats what it is) is:
Fuel injection
New body work with new designed frame
Kayaba suspenion and some say 50mm forks
All rumor but it is the most said about the 09..
Hopefully we will see in a couple weeks

I hear:

EFI

KYB suspension

New plastic/bodywork

5th generation frame

Big changes. I'm looking forward to it, but this is gonna be one expensive bike.

The manager of the factory Honda team in europe said this- "The bike for next year is fantastic, I think it will surprise a lot of people- it is something completely different and i think we will be able to compare it to the introduction of the aluminium-framed bike." Sounds good.

How much can the OEM's keep raising prices for a new bike before people can't afford them anymore

10k for a new bike is just too expensive Sad

Bring back the 2strokes

There are mountain bikes that are more expensive than motorcross bikes and people buy those things. Its crazy.

I sure the hell hope they work better than the 97 CR 250, that bike sucked.

lol yeah....if the 97 CR250 is anything to go by then this doesn't sound too good :p

But its not like the manager of the factory Honda team is going to say "The bike for next year is freaking awful...."

yup MC really dislikes the 97 CR... so hopefully by changing drastically they did mess up a good thing... ( also like when they changed the design of there awesome 2 stroke motors in 02)

Ya no doubt 10k for a thumper that goes south on you and u gotta drop 2k for motor work.. 500AF motor would stay strong for years and a top end with gaskets probably less than $200 bucks. Im keeping my 08 crf until 2010's come out if they within $1500 of a Service 500AF ill go that route for sure and just learn how to ride them again.

i keep hearing 50mm kyb forks, maybe new plastics\frame, and efi rumored to be on board as well. i hope so...other then the #plate and graphcis, the 05-08 are very similar. the new kawi's do look nice i have to admit, i was never of fan of green though. i really like the crf motor so as long as they dont change that, i should be happy.

As a side note, Husky is releasing a 310cc 4stroke for '09.....I wonder if the HP numbers compare to the jap 250F's.....

My 98 cr250 gave me more soft tissue injuries than all the rest of my bikes combined, I could be having a great moto and then all of a sudden it would just pitch you off..... damndest thing....... I switched to Kawasaki at the end of 99 and have been on them since.

i wouldnt be concerned with HP numbers as much as HP to weight ratio...
