Yeah, that was a terrible ride to come from last to fourth and be 3 seconds off the winner. HORRIBLE. He should just quit.

Same person who predicted he was done a couple of years ago with a wrist injury...stick a fork in him.
That was a few championships ago, huge swing and miss on that one.

When u can win the loto 52 times in a row, I will believe that you can tell the future.

I don't have a TV so watching the races live is challenging. Why did RV start last?

Went down in the first turn. This is nothing more than a Bobbym angling thread. Why anyone would take it seriously is beyond me.

Dream on spermbeard!

That was a fucking passing clinic... hope Dungey gets a chance to watch it as Shorty had to practically pull off to get him to go by, wtf?

really lets look at the facts last to 4th 3 sec behind leader after first turn crash. Like Stated Definitely passing clinic. Second moto wins by 15sec with Dungey hole shot and him in second. I bet there are 40 some other riders in the championship who wish their season was unraveling like RV's

Last to 4th only 3 seconds behind the leader. And then starts 2nd passes Dungey and gaps him by 15 seconds.

But unravelling.

OK.

Remind me not to play charades with any of you guys... Sheesh!

I'm with you Bobby, he's toying with them like a kitten playing with yarn.

I am not trying to cause any problems because I actually love watching RV race (if everyone was as agressive as him in the corners this sport would be constant excitement throughout the race) but I am curious to all of your thoughts.

Which was the more impressive feat?

Villopoto from nearly last (he wasnt completely last) to 3rd place OR

Dungey almost a complete lap down two years ago (because his bike wouldnt start) and coming back to finish 7th, four spots behind RV?

When I see these two race its just too stupid for anyone to make a decision who is the better rider. Its not that...its who is the most tactical/agressive rider and RV is just that way right now. If Ryan D. would bull RV in a turn once or twice in a race, he would be where RV is right now (Dungey is taller, stronger and should have leverage to help him do that but I know RV also has incredible balance, he is very strong and has a small center of gravity that he uses to his advantage). They are both as good as can possibly be when it comes to the overall picture.

but on to my question..which was the bigger feat?

This video proves you are wrong Dave...wrong by a long shot. Dungey gets on his bike and leaves around 1:14.....that doesnt include the nearly 20 seconds he stood waiting behind the starting gate after the bikes left. The word was that Barcia was heading in to one of the last turns on the track before Dungey took off onto the track. Another 7 seconds and Dungey would have have been disqualified because Barcia would have made a full completion.

not trying to be all precise here..knowing the track averages 1:58 seconds on a good day...he must have waited a lot longer than 1:34 seconds as I am saying before getting on the track. The thing is, he was almost, fully and complete a lap down when he got his bike going.

this shows the gate dropped on the "parade lap" (What the heck was Jeff Emig saying...this was the race!) at 6:49 in the video..its almost 8:40 before you hear the crowd reacting to Dungey entering the track...thats a bit longer than 28 seconds.

Dungey has been getting his ass kicked for most of this series... am I wrong on this?
6/30/2013 4:09am
RV and Dungey are both riding at a consistently higher level for 30 min + 2 laps. RV's bike is also incredibly set up. His engine had a completely different sound than any other bike at Southwick. It was quiet like it was in a gear higher and the back tire hooked up with minimal wheel spin compared to the other bikes. Throw in a factory EFI module and he's got one great bike.
