Just wondering which tracks in the IE you guys prefer the most. I ride at Comp mostly but no one is ever there...wondering why?

Mostly ride GH, I like comp edge but it's always too windy when I have gone, racetown is twice the drive as GH and milestone is usually too crowed. Pala was good last time I went but it's a far drive for me.

I've been wanting to hit Comp but my friends say they don't like it much. Some videos of it look rad though. I ride Pala the most and then Perris 2nd probably

Comp edge is one of my favorite tracks in SoCal, pretty good prep on the pro day (Teusday I think) and its never that crowded. But its biggest downfall is the wind. Glen helen is a great track as well, especially on thursdays when the pros ride. I go to milestone the most simply because it is close and I can go ride and be back around noon. However I never go on the weekends, the place is a zoo, way too many people.

I mainly ride milestone perris or pala. More so the first two, but I pay $55 a month and can ride those 3 as much as I want. Usually 6-8 times a month. I love glen Helen but I work on thur and sat so only chance I get to ride it is racing on a Sunday. I also like comp but hate driving all the way up the hill for windy conditions (not always windy but more times than not personally)
Love the ranch and cahuilla but I can't afford to be driving that far every week...

I try and ride all the tracks to get some variety, and honestly like all of them. My favorite though is Cahuilla Creek. Good dirt, fun track, usually prepped good, and this time of year it's about 8 degrees cooler than Milestone etc... The drive sucks but I think its worth it. Comp Edge is great too, but this time of year it starts getting hot quick. That being said, it's 72 and cloudy right now. LOL

I have the same membership as you and love it. Unlimited riding at all three of those tracks for $49 a month, I got my membership a few years ago when they first offered it so I'm grandfathered in at that price. I usually go to Milestone though because its about 10 minutes from my house.

Im not gonna lie, its the best bang for your buck. I also got the membership 3+ years ago when it was only $49, but I got shafted by ghetto/gas/whatever the fuck they call themselves. Not a big deal paying the extra $6 a month it was just the horrendous customer service i received when i was trying to get it sorted out. Now if i could just my lil brother to pay me for his $55 membership lol

I usually ride milestone since it's the closest to me. If I'm down to drive further then I'll hit up pala but that is only on occasion. I was at Milestone today and Justin Hill was flying! So was Durham and Nelson.

I've been going to Racetown and Comp Edge with my son quite a bit lately but last Friday we went to Milestone for the first time and I loved that track! We mostly ride the vet tracks and Milestone seemed to be on top of keeping the tracks maintained and watered better then any of the tracks up here (we live in Phelan).

Racetown I think is pretty poor. The dirt is often like concrete. Both the main and vet track lack berms, its all flat turns almost. Comp Edge isn't so bad but again, the dirt isn't all that great. Typical high desert dirt. The dirt on the main seems a little better though compared to the vet track. But after riding at Milestone we are definitely going back. I hope to sometime soon get over to Pala and Perris and try them out.

Its pretty crazy to think that SoCal, Houston, Dallas, etc... all have so many tracks that riders get to choose and pick where they are going to practice that day/week.

Back here in Kansas City/Midwest it isn't like that at all. We are lucky if the crap local track is open and most of the time it isn't even worth going to. If you don't have your own or know someone with a private track you might as well forget riding on anything good.... unless you plan to make a 4 - 5 hour drive to a good track (which i plan on doing this weekend).

If you are looking to race MX on a challenging track there is really only one choice: REM. .If you haven't raced in a while you owe it to yourself to check out Saturday MX at REM. Practice at 9, racing starts ARO half past nine and the program concludes by two, three at the latest. Long motos, great people......it doesn't get any better than that.

BTW I am not 100 percent sure but I believe on some Thursdays you can also practice on the REM track at Glen Helen.

Ive been racing w REM since the Carlsbad days. Great group of people. The REM track is open most Thursdays but not prepped.

Yep. If you want to race real MX definitely the choice is REM but if your preference is to race 21st century hybrid MX (heavily influenced by SX) then there are plenty of tracks that provide this opportunity.

I hear you guys, I have to check out an REM for sure. But for example, last time I raced the Pala main track it was 15 minute motos and that track gets rough. Ya it has big jumps but it gets ROUGH. Anyone who doesn't think so is a loony or doesn't ride it.

The last place I raced was at REM. That track gets beat to shit and can get pretty brutal.

Most tracks I've raced on get beat during the second motos (Mammoth OMG!) and I always liked it since it makes picking lines that much more important. On the subject of rough tracks I had a buddy who wouldn't race at Carlsbad since it was "too rough!" He preferred to race at Perris which was smooth (comparatively) and jump infested.

Milestone does a mid-day prep from 2 - 4 on Fridays. We really enjoy Friday afternoon/nights there.

GH. I live about 15 minutes from there. It's hard to drive past it to get to somewhere else. The main track can get a little goofy for slow old guys as they have added some rhythm sections, usually before some big series.
