I took my 450 across the Red River 2 times. It was easily a quarter mile trip and I was 5 gear tapped going into it.... OK Maybe it was 40 feet. But I crossed water!!!!!!!

But seeing an amateur doing it will be really funny.

Props to the MB guys for picking a 500 like that instead of box 450, Def cool one of them sacked up and road it into the drink. But.. Cooler then Maddo's Corinth Canal jump!?! NAHHHH!!! lol

so you've seen the episode and know what they do.??
must be an Aussie since it aired there back in May? .Smile

Hey I get it's nothing earth shattering to dirt riders, and there are vids of that its been done before,
heck its one of the reasons they called me, I had done it before, and also had a bike they thought would not only bust or confirm the myth , but take the stunt further

if interested you'll have to watch , but the myth was not *just* crossing a pond or inlet..
think - taking it out to sea.. lol!!!

anyway it was a blast to work with those guys, and Jamie certainly manned up to take this as far as anyone has so far.....

as far as the haterz lol ,, hey just try and remember that your average Discovery viewer may or may not have ever seen anything like that..and will likely find it cool.

While TP or KW fans have,(in fact we and Mythbusters called KW to see if he could do it on the show)
those fans are not the bulk of the audience BBC/Discovery is attempting to entertain.

It's also a lot easier to get a wet 2 stroke fired up again! I'd hate to think what it would take to get all the water out of the top end of a four stroke! Anybody that's ever ridden a stand up Jet Ski can relate....

it was a combination- weight to hp, ratio..
and yes two strokes after sinking them in a lake can generally be brought back to life in 5 minutes
(we have done so many times even when brought up from 10 or 20 foot deep)
change the oil, change the filter , drain the float bowl, brap!.

I know this has been up before but it's still fucking awesome. From Service Honda's webpage, Robbie Maddison on CR500AF jumping the Corinth Canal in Greece. Awesome footage and sound. That big cannon sounds so crisp!

So the trick is to keep your front end on the ground/water?

Holy shit! i can NOT believe that Jamie @MythBusters pinned a CR500AF 80mph and made it 300ft across the lake! The 1st run he went OTB so hard LMAO!

Wish they would of let Eric McCrummin (who did the first tests) see how far he could of went.

Still WAY impressed with how far Jamie went. That took some nads.
