I wonder where every one is gonna park and where all the people will watch and mill about. will be a nightmare getting in. two lane road into the track. I waiting till next year so they can work the bugs out.

Highpoint has a two lane road entrance as well and I don't hear anyone bitcing about that national. Good..... just stay home then.

My point was not to bitch about Muddy Creek getting a National and calling it THE southeast National. Muddy Creek is an excellent site as we will see by the size of the crowd, but I also think there is the possibility of a more southern location that could draw an equally large or larger turn out.

You've got to be fucking kidding me. We finally get a national in the SOUTHEAST and people are already bitching about when are we going to get a national, in the Southeast?! Stay at home and watch half of it in tv, I'd you even get those channels. It's a 4.5hr ride from Atlanta, and that's really close for a national!! Instead of 15hrs away like normally. Tennessee is the Southeast!!!!! Any further south and the race would be in Miami!!! Fuck

Aside from a couple not quite so bad to get to in Europe,the series over here comes to my country once a year and it's a total no brainer,its going to be awesome!

budds creek has a 2 lane road and..... bad example. I live in northern maryland and it takes me about 2 hours to get there. be happy there is not traffic as well. that track looks awesome. seeing how things are going, I wouldnt be surprised if I was driving there in a few years when they take budds creek off the schedule.

Almost every national has a two lane road. Guess what Clemson has a two lane road and we have close to 100,000 for football games. SO STFU on that excuse.

As for the Southeast Tenn is a great location. It is a central location for most of the southeast states plus it is close for ohio, kentucky, illinois. I think this will be one of the most attended nationals each year. A national in florida would not be smart if you are looking for good attendance. Besides Fla, GA, and Bama residents no one else would make that trip.

I can't wait for it. This is about a 4hr drive from Durham, little longer than it takes us to get to Budd's. I've never been to a National that had more than a two lane road? I guess maybe the ones in California are right off a freeway or something? I thought most all Nationals were in the boondocks. This one appears to be a couple miles max off of I-81 and there are three different exits within 3 - 4 miles of the track, giving several different ways to approach the track. Looks a lot better than Budd's in that regard if you ask me. Stoked!!!

That said, I think the ideal location for a southeastern National would be somewhere around Columbia, SC or Charlotte, NC.

Exactly! Shoug has got to have the worst single lane access that is super windy along a river. Throw in the detour last year and its even better Smile Muddy creek looks like an awesome track. If I still lived in PA I'd be all over that!
