That triple step up is pretty big from the helmet cam, must look awesome in person to watch them hit it. Looks like a great track overall and I can't wait to watch it this weekend Smile

Looks like a fun track to ride, but seems very narrow in a lot of places and I see lots of dudes going off the track

Had JG at a 2:01.91 and have to agree, track looks narrow. Wonder what some of the riders are saying.

Does seem very narrow, hope some lines develop when all the riders get on the track.

Yea, my reaction was it looks narrow and there are a ton of places I'd be worried about going off the side at race pace. Hmm...

Imo I don't think this track will race well. I hope I'm wrong for entertainment purposes but it looks like it'll be very one lined.

Just from being here many, many time over the past few years, I think (and hope) you're misjudging. The track always ruts up and gets extremely rough, and with the new and very welcomed additions, I think we'll see a track that has many options and some great racing. After seeing everyone here in person today shredding, I honestly think this new course will lead to some epic racing.

I'm gonna say it only looks narrow because the entire width of track doesn't seem to watered. I would venture to guess that once it's fully prepped (watered and tilled) and on race day, it won't look as narrow...just my thoughts

I hope so! I've had this date circled for awhile!

Looks narrow as hell to me. Hope the racers can race and that no one jumps on or into each other.

Every 'new' national looks narrow these days, especially when you consider how fast the pros are riding and the skills they have. Everyone knows Elsinore is a joke, Pala was a complete highway, and I can't imagine the new Utah track being any different. It's all just outdoor Supercross, even RV wasn't very happy with how Lakewood was setup.

The professional tracks need to be twice as wide if you ask me. Give long outside lines a chance. Unadilla is a perfect example. But for every other track, making it wider means more $$ and space required.

Oh yeah and the obligatory, bring back Glen Helen. THAT track will always be pure american motocross.

Thanks Wes, really stoked to see some "Fresh Soil" in the series. Ive been following all the work that they have been putting into it (just on their FB page), cant wait to see how it all comes together this weekend, they must be just as stoked as we are. Cool

Not arguing, but do you have a link to where rv wasnt happy with the track? looked pretty rough on the telly, rv managed to find a couple of extra lines. Or was his frustration from him riding off the track?

Looks like there is a 3 foot ledge on some parts of the track so if you run off you cannot get back on right away..oh oh, more riders riding down the access road looking for a place to get back on....fines fines fines

When the "quit going off the track" issue is brought up this week in the riders meeting the riders are gonna start laughing.
Maybe it's just the vid but it looks narrow but Muddy Creek has been around awhile and has had some big events in the past so I'm sure they and Mark Barnett know what the skinny is.

Agree with the narrow comments, how the heck is that gonna run 40 riders? Track looks cool but sheesh, it's gonna be one lined in no time

I guess a good way to judge if the track is wide enough is if somebody had a pick of the banner going across the track at another event and put it side by side with either the Ford or Lucas oil banner. does it have room on the leg to the jump like the pic above or is it planted in the jump like I seen at Lakewood?

I think you guys should go back and re-read what Wes posted, instead of sit here making assumptions from a video you watched. He is not only there now, but has been many times over the years.

Ill take his word for it. Whistling
