James is riding solid and staying off the ground... I think he deserves a little credit, and perhaps a golf clap.

When he rides WFO and crashes, people complain. When he rides at a consistent pace to try and finish the season injury free, people complain. Are you guys noticing a theme here? Yes it sucks to see him settle for a third place, but at the same time its nice to see him settle down a bit and not ride over his head when he isn't 100% on his bike. Hopefully we will see the real James sometime this year, but for now I am happy with his finishes.

True, but after only 4 motos I think he is down 34 points to the terminator (RV)

The real James Stewart is what you see today. The fast JS will not return.

What if that's the fastest that he can go?

Oh don't get me wrong, he's still fast but he doesn't have the drive anymore. Even so, no one will beat RV. Its pointless to think that anyone will beat him over the next couple of years. JS's time is up. He won't return to where he was when he was winning.

I've never really rooted for JS but now as the underdog, I find myself wanting him to step it up (in addition to Dungey) to improve the racing. Based on his post race inteview and just a feeling I get knowing his style, I think we will see JS start to push a little more going forward. We know he has the speed but just hope he can find it lap after lap so we get some great battles between RV, RD and JS.

Thats how I feel and how it seems. Hope I am wrong though. I think its his wrist like RJ. Something is holding him back. But hey if he is happy being a third place guy ok

My favorite rider by far is James, but the way RV is looking I think we could send him over "lone wolf" to the MX of Nations and we would be just fine.

Yep, I wish he would of raced last year MXDN. He would kill Herlings!

That's so fucking wrong on so many levels. You RV fanbois have his nuts stuck in your eyes and can't see past his belly button.

In sand not a chance of beating Herlings or AC, everywhere else yes. Deep sand no way. If a healthier Stewart shows up to southwick he wins. Southwick is his worst national track, 1 win at 338.

In sand? You are out of your freaking mind. Herlings would put 20sec on him at Lommel easy. But I do appreciate a good trolling, should be many Euro's along shortly to take the bait

I'm a Chad Reed fan, but with his knee issues and recent illness, I'm worried that he is so far down on fitness, that it will be a very tough climb back up to the podium, let alone find the blazing speed he had late 2011, early 2012.

Watch James ride certain portions of the track, and you can see that he is clearly not going nearly as fast as he can...even now. He seems to be making a real attempt to be smart & consistant...two words that have never been attached to him. There is no doubt in my mind that Stewart will podium at more races than he doesn't, and even win a couple of overalls before the show is over this year. That may be good enough for him, and be enough momentum for him to do some damage in the 2014 SX series.

Actually I am a James "fanboy" as you put it, but I can recognize greatness when displayed. Keep your gay fantasies to yourself.

These Bubba fans are never satisfied, if the so called REAL James shows up and rides over his head and crashes like he use to all the time, they're Pissed, if the current Fast and stay in the Race and get a solid finish shows up, they're Pissed, because RV wins by 45 seconds. So! whadda ya want, Jeeze you guys can't make up your Minds and the guy is in a constant catch 22 with his Fans. Bubba won those Championships in 2009-2009, because he was racing against competition that didn't require him to go over 100%, he doen't have that luxury now with the Ryans, because they are Faster than he is. Just be happy that he's racing and might finish the Series

* THE First time I ever heard about James BUBBA Stewart, was when a fellow Ohio PW50 dad went down to

MUDDY CREEK, in probably '93 or '94, anyway, he came back telling of this amazing young man....

James will be back at the Creek this weekend. His kinda dirt. Look out.

says who...you should play closer attention both RV and Dunge have him covered, they are better prepared and have more determination...it's not whats wrong with Stewart it's what's right with the other two. It's been four years since Stewart was a contender for a championship.

Exactly!
I don't understand how anyone can expect more from him. Nearly every time he has hit the dirt since that 2010 wrist injury it gets injured again. Plus a torn ACL. He seems to be trying to ride at a pace that keeps him from injuring them worse.

Poor James.... The guy Had YEARS where if he would have played it smart and not gone 110% every time he was on a bike he would have racked up 7-8 more championships at a minimum. Now....... there is no way he can hang with RV and RD WITHOUT riding 110%. MX/SX has passed him by. He is a threat for some wins, he is a threat for a bunch of podiums but championships.... He's done. Crying shame really.
