But I find leading language that says "You Must Verify Your Cable, Satellite, or Telco TV provider", that, in reality, actually means, "You can only watch this program if you have already purchased a pay TV service provided by people that pay us, too." to be, sadly, deceptive and usurious.
There's an honest buck. And then there's just a buck.
But, then again, it *is* NBC.
...If it was a mistake, i hope they make it again

and I still don't know if the pay tv clash will stop the aussies being able to log on to Alli to watch the second motos
All else fails, i'm going to someones house with fox sports at 6am to watch the damn race.
Pit Row
I find the veiled, deceptive language that makes no mention of *having to be in a specific club* before you can watch and causes people to crash headfirst into the brick wall to have a certain unpleasant odor. I have time warner cable. Guess what? I'm not in the club. Wouldn't know that ahead of time reading their statement.
Hell, I have a couple of different telco providers I can verify, too. Why not just come out and say it on the ad?
You pay for Time Warner cable, and that's not in the group of providers that allow access to the NBCS Extra coverage? Do you pay for internet separately from cable? If yes, how much do you pay (it can be proportionally) and if no, how much do you pay for both?
I don't see any deception in the language, you just have to verify that you have a legitimate TV provider. This is just supplemental coverage to what you already pay for, not free online viewing. No media company that plans on making money is trying to increase how much they can pump out that generates no direct revenue. I work for a newspaper, and we're no different. To access our website beyond a certain number of times you either need to pay, or sign up for a subscription. I'm assuming you chose Time Warner cable to save money, which is fine and a smart choice, but I think it's a bit unfair to point fingers and say something is wrong or deceptive just because you're missing out on a certain option because you went with a money saving route.
This could all be wrong, too, of course.
I think that's the problem some of us seem to have.
